In the UK we're quite used to waiting longer than these people had to, especially during the holiday season.

Oliver, you haven't been paying attention again. It must be all those night shifts you're doing!

I have never been against Bush's "war" against terrorism, just the way he conducts himself when he talks about it and his Administration's tactics in carrying it out.

As far as the Taleban still being in power if I were calling the shots, I can't really see any real difference between them and the lot that's in power now. Except for a less oppressive regime.

But even on that, time will tell.

As Churchill once said about another "war" in 1956, "I don't think I would have been such a fool as to start it in the first place, but once started. I wouldn't have been even a bigger fool to change my mind half way through".

All Bush has got to do to get into my good books, is change his tactics in fighting the "war", completely change America's foreign policy with regards to the Middles East, and resign...

Not a lot to ask I would have thought!
