Artwork Question

Can artwork for an illustrated story be from a paid professional, if I have the copyright? It would be a 3D computer graphics image made just for me and for which I paid an artist.

Sure

I'm no lawyer but as long as you're not stealing or 'appropriating' an image where you don't own rights, you should be fine.
