I'm not an academic on the subject. I do have a humble collection and in interest in art, but very few to discuss with it. Why not try Lit?

For me, art is an analogy for something I can't articulate.

What are your favorite artists, works, and thoughts?

I'll start with photographer Sara Bahbah. Her latest series "Fool Me Twice" hit home for me from the perspective of the woman in the series. You can check it here http://www.sarahbahbah.com/fool-me-twice

The series is meant to be seen in its entirety. The artist had some inspiration from her exploring the idea of Attachment Theory. Attachment Theory is a good rabbit hole to go down. What attachment style are you?

These are the moments that I related to most.

I liked this series very much. I would say I have sprinkles of each attachment type but through my home life growing up, Avoidant. After a lot of tearing down and rebuilding, closer to Secure (if it’s possible for that to change) but with backslides of Avoidant.

I’ll add John William Waterhouse to the mix!

This is The Lady of Shalott, 1894.

So you like the Pre-Raphaelites, Ms Bee? They are certainly attractive and romantic!

Ray Ceasar is an English digital artist that lives in Canada. Ceasar suffers from dissociative identity disorder. His alternate, Harry, often appears in his art as a little girl and is a reflection of his gender variance.

His works make think of a world that takes place in an elegant science fiction novella. I don't personally relate to any single one, but these are some of my favorites. The first has a dystopia nonchalant feel. Almost like something from a Glenn Barr comic. The second one I like because it feels ominous even threatening.
