Senate President Fann,

We write in response to your May 12, 2021 letter. We also write in response
to the May 12th social media post from the Twitter account, run by you or
your designee/s, which accused Maricopa County of “deleting a directory full
of databases from the 2020 election cycle days before the election equipment
was delivered to the audit,” and went on to accuse the County of “spoliation of
evidence.”

These accusations are false, defamatory, and beneath the dignity of the
Senate
. They are an insult to the dedicated public servants in the Maricopa
County Elections Department and Office of the Recorder, who work incredibly
long hours conducting the County’s elections with integrity and honor.

1. Your accusation, that Maricopa County deleted data, is false.

You claim “the entire ‘Database’ directory from the D drive of the machine
EMSPrimary has been deleted.” This is false: the “Database” was not deleted
from the server.
And an analysis of the screenshot you provided (the
“screenshot”), which we reproduce below, further proves that fact.

That's a letter from the implicated board of Supervisors.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Bill Gates, vice chair of the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors,
speaking on the recount farce operated by Trump Loyalists -

Well, again, in my position as a member of the Board of Supervisors,
we have had to stand up several times since November of 2020.

First of all, we had to vote as a board to unanimously certify the election results
in Maricopa County. And we took a lot of heat from that. Then we were demanded
these ballots and election machines in December. We stood up again. We said we
need to go to court, because we were concerned that that would be a violation
of Arizona law.

Then, in February, the Arizona Senate, despite the fact that our lawsuit was pending
in court at that time, the Arizona Senate was only one vote away from holding us
in contempt and throwing us in jail because of our failure to turn over these ballots.

And now, finally, we're getting accused again of criminal acts, and our employees
are being accused of criminal acts. So, quite frankly, it's been six months of us
standing up for the rule of law, standing up for facts and evidence.

"...if you didn't run for office to do what was right, to stand up for democracy,
then why did you (AUDIO GAP) office in the first place?

By that logic, I could call you a terrorist and any evidence you produced to the contrary would be worthless.

No you can't. The Board of Supervisors are withholding evidence and obstructing the process, as the Senate has found.

Nobody is withholding anything or obstructing anything. What has been very clearly revealed is that the auditors are incompetent and that the GOP state reps have knee jerked leaks and raised hell before they have a full grasp of the situation.

1. The database was never deleted. Cyberninjas just didn't understand RAID.
2. Ballots were delivered properly as required by law.
3. Router information is clearly provided as much as able without compromising governmental systems

The knee jerk press releases from the GOP makes one thing clear - this was all for show and they are appealing to gullible Trumpies.

For the Q-Anan/Trumpers, this is just further evidence of a conspiracy.

Disprove that, that's a deep state conspiracy. Disprove it some more, the illuminatti are involved.

I'm waiting for those people to start blaming alien invasions as a conspiracy. That's going to be a lot of fun.
One of them in congress already believes in Jewish space lasers, so we're getting close.

There are two competing threads, each claiming the opposite thing...

Technically, both are based on leaks, since findings of the audit have not been released.

But then again, both are based on procedural aspects of the ongoing audit and not findings at all.

Arizona auditors confirm no Maricopa County election databases were deleted

PHOENIX — Arizona auditors confirmed Tuesday during a Senate meeting that no Maricopa County election databases were deleted despite a previous allegation from the audit’s official Twitter account that election officials eliminated the evidence.

Ben Cotton, founder of a computer forensics firm working on the audit, told Senate President Karen Fann and fellow Republican Sen. Warren Petersen, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, that he recovered files that were supposedly deleted.

Any questions?

The county followed up with a tweet Tuesday reaffirming the rebuttal.

“Your tweet, which relies on the ‘modified date’ shown in the screenshot as evidence of wrongdoing, is demonstrably false; the only thing it does demonstrate is your auditors’ incompetence,” the letter says.

“Their stunning lack of a basic understanding for how their software works is egregious and only made worse by the false tweet sent defaming the hardworking employees of Maricopa County.”

The claim of deleted databases was amplified by former President Donald Trump and his supporters, who believe conspiracy theories about election irregularities.

The audit’s official Twitter account, which has about 60,000 followers, tweeted the allegation Wednesday and it received more than 12,000 retweets.

So how do we get the genie back in the bottle for all of the short bus people that now are convinced that there is an issue here? The anwer is we cannot.

So the only recourse is that the liars and the propagation of the lie needs to be punished so that it is a deterrent to others that want to lie to their own advantage when the lies are demonstrably false.

About the wall of resistance, that is, erected by Maricopa County officials to the Arizona state senate’s audit of the jurisdiction’s 2020 election returns. Remember Sheriff Joe Arpaio, erstwhile foe of illegal immigration who lost a re-election bid in 2016.

The guy who defeated Arpaio is the current Sheriff, Paul Penzone, who, according to Just the News, benefitted from a $2 million campaign contribution from George Soros. Penzone got another $250,000 from Lauren Jobs, the deceased Apple co-founder’s former wife.

A dogcatcher could’ve defeated Arpaio.

I’m sure trump will correct his “from the tiny desk of donald trump” post immediately.

Mistakes are a nonstop event at the “audit,” post-election audit expert
Jennifer Morrell wrote in The Washington Post in a detailed account
of her time observing what was going on in Maricopa County.

“This is not an audit, and I don’t see how this can have a good outcome.”

- Daily Kos

I watched the GOP’s Arizona election audit. It was worse than you think.
Cyber Ninjas is hunting for bamboo fibers and cheese dust.

By my last day of observation, on May 7, the auditors were attempting to set up
a quality-control station.

Audits are supposed to make us better. They are supposed to make our elections
more secure and transparent — to strengthen the public’s trust in our democratic
process. Maricopa County is known for having some of the best election practices
in the country: Officials had already undertaken a hand-count audit and a forensic
audit of their 2020 ballots and found no evidence of fraud. Now a group with no
expertise, improvising procedures as they go, is sowing doubt about the outcome
of a well-run election.

This is not an audit, and I don’t see how this can have a good outcome.

Today, Trump's goons and gremlins are claiming that the data that they could not find
has been purposefully corrupted, altered. (This is after they made a public apology,
for saying that the data had been destroyed, and was missing. Now, the accusation
made is that the supervisors deliberately delayed discovery, because the supervisors
were busy altering and deleting data.

How Cyber Ninjas Tricked Trump Into Yet Another Election Conspiracy

www.vice.com/amp/en/article/dyvpnv/...ed-trump-into-yet-another-election-conspiracy

The Florida-based company, which has no election audit experience, said a trove of data had been stolen. Turns out they were looking in the wrong place.

The shocking allegation was amplified on Twitter, and Arizona Senate President Karen Fann sent a letter to the officials saying they have very serious questions to answer about the lost files.

Within days, the accusation landed on the desk of former President Donald Trump, who issued a bombastic statement to his tens of millions of loyal supporters: “The entire Database of Maricopa County in Arizona has been DELETED!”

The only problem with all this is that Cyber Ninjas was wrong, and on Tuesday they finally admitted the truth: The data was there all along; they’d just been looking in the wrong place.
