A great game - with the comeback victory to seal the deal. Too bad I only caught three innings (the first, second and btm. ninth).
But I have an excuse! Last WS game 7 (Cleveland @ Florida), I watched the Indians blow their lead, then have Jose Mesa give up the winning run two innings later. Since then, the wrong teams have been winning. The Packers lost the Super Bowl two months later, and it's been downhill for my personal sportsworld since.
I was rooting for the D'backs the whole way. I'll cheer for any team that plays the Yankees. But to be true to my favorite team....did anyone notice that the player who scored the winning run (jay bell) and the player who had the crucial single to left field (Tony Womack) were both former Pittsburgh Pirates !!!!!!
Was a good game but why did the announcers keep referring to the winning hit as a line drive? Looked more like a bloop single to me. Glad I don't listen to radio anymore.
