Ok. I first of all would like to express my sympathies and sorrow toward the victims of the recent violence in Canada.

But would SOMEONE like to tell me where the FUCK the news people got the term "gothic cult" from?

I, dependant on the mood I was in in the morning/afternoon I got dressed, and my fiance most definately, could be described as "gothic". Hell, my fiance has a trenchcoat. Since the incident at the college happened, I have not heard the word "goth" and "gothic" on the news so much.

What. The. Fuck.

I am so, so angry at this, its "hoodies" all over again. Now we'll not only be lambasted for showing our support for various bands by wearing hoodies, we'll also be in the shit for wearing long coats when it rains.

I mean, gheezus...

You know how the media likes simple stories.

I believe the media is getting a lot of their terminology from the VampireFreaks website where the shooter was a member. The local news here (in Montreal) is constantly referring to the site, most likely because this is the only information they have been able to get on the shooter.

That might explain the looks I got while taking my husband to the doctor, and then out shopping, today.

And he said they just liked the way the corset top and boots flattered my figure, and how good the grey and black color scheme looked against my skin.

That's the last time I believe him. *snorts*

The "goths" have always had it pretty bad, groups get broken up, random police searches ect, meanwhile the "chavs" are KNOWN to be doing drugs ect and get left alone.

One of these days, someone's gonna snap.

You want a simple solution to even that out? Call the cops on the Chavs. I'm not even kidding or being sarcastic. If you have a problem with them not being treated as equals than force the situation and call the cops on them. See what the other side of the argument is like.
