I know this has been done to death on here and elsewhere, but it happened to me (again) last night...

There is nothing wrong with having friends and i cheerish and appreciate each one I have, but there are times when a little bit more would be nice.

*sigh* seems i am forever destined to only ever be "friends" with people.

could certainly be worse, she might have never wanted to see me again.

At least I like being known as a friend, and to know that i am seen as a good one, is a good thing, but.......

I hate giving that speech as much as men hate getting it. Can't tell you the number of nice guys I've gone out with that I haven't felt anything for. I really hate that I can't have super sparks with one of them and happily live in lust with him.

For awhile, I was getting it so much, that I was starting to wonder if there was a class taught somewhere on it. Like there was this form you could use:

"Your a really nice guy, but . . "

Then there were 32 variations you could use with several submodifications for customizable situations.

But after I got married, I was told that no such class existed.

It's awful...if the guy is actually nice you want to brush him off, but not scar him for life...it's horrible

thanks all, and yes, you are right of course... friendship is a good thing.

It could always be much worse, and i would hate it to be at the stage or her trying to get rid of my totally... avoiding me... "oh no, i have to talk to him again" type thing.

Actually a couple of my duckless pictures were posted on lit for a brief time when i hit 3000 posts... kind of a celebration thing.

they got taken down though after a few days... i figured you needed to be quick to keep up with this little black duck
