Are your editors' names supposed to be posted with your story?

I've got two stories which were edited by volunteer editors from lit - in both cases I listed the names of my editors in the 'notes' section of the submission form as instructed.

One of the stories is now displayed with the names of the editors (story 1) and the other is not (story 2).

Which one is the mistake?

Neither?

Since this case is two chapters of the same story, unless the editors changed it wasn't really necessary to list them again.

I'm not really sure how Laurel determines whether the editors are listed. It would appear that you included them in your author's note instead of Laurel adding them from the submission form.

Thanks for the advice guys.

It does look like I'm the one who inserted their names into the text, but I guess it is sort of silly to assume that editors wouldn't want their names listed (even if Lit doesn't automatically list them).

I also like the idea of mentioning editors (I'd prefer my editors got credit for their work) - I just don't want to publically announce them if this is not what they wanted (or if it was against Lit policy for some reason). So I think I'll just email the editors for each story and ask them which they would prefer, since they're the ones being effected either way (gosh that sounds like such a sensible thing to do, now why couldn't I come up with that on my own lol).
