I'm a pretty new member of Lit so I definitely don't want to come off like an expert, but I'm surprised to not find much activity in the forums talking about LitChat. I get that some (maybe most) members seem to prefer the forums which of course is fine, but the number of people on the forums clearly looking to connect with others makes me wonder if they know about LitChat, where there are often dozens if not hundreds of other sexy people looking to connect, and IN REAL TIME!
No waiting for that special someone to respond to your PM or forum post (ok, there is actually still a fair amount of waiting and trying to find the right person, but often very fast). While sometimes the forums and PMs are the perfect place to get to know someone (I've got several hot and heavy RPs going and loving it), sometimes you just need that immediate gratification. Knowing that another real person is getting off with you in real time is an amazing turn on (at least for me).
In case you don't, here's a quick tutorial (again, not claiming to be an expert so others please feel free to chime in, but some tips from a noob).
- Log in here using your regular Lit username and password, use one of the blue 'Click here to log in to the new Lit Chat' links. https://www.literotica.com/chat/
- By default you start in the the 'Literotica Lobby' room, which can be a great place to chat and hang out, but the real fun is in the themed rooms!
- Near the top of your window to the right of the words 'Literotica Lobby' there is a plus sign, click this to see the menu of 'themed' rooms with a number in parenthesis that denotes how many people are in each room (you can be in more than one room at once though so it's not like they are all actively chatting). Be sure to page through using the numbers toward the bottom to see the less populated but sometimes more active niche rooms. You can even start a new room with your own theme if you want (I haven't done this yet)
- Once you open a new room (or rooms) you can use the tabs to bounce back and forth. Join the chat, or just observe for a bit like many people do.
- Along the right side of the page is a list of users that are also in the room you are in. You can click on those names to see their profiles (if they've set one up, you should), block them (if someone is being a pest), or start a 'private conversation' with them.
- For private conversation it seems to be proper etiquette to chat in the room first and ask someone if you can PM them, or you can introduce yourself to the room and ask folks to PM you. Ladies be warned, if your username is feminine you will probably get a lot of responses! No worries though, you can take some time to chat with several to find the right partner, and you can close any rooms and block someone if they are being a pain.
- Same rules apply in LitChat as they do here in the forums (http://forum.literotica.com/showthread.php?t=1419578) but as you see in forums things can get pretty hot! There are usually moderators around to help you out if you are having trouble or being hassled (mods have a star next to their name) but they stay out of private chats so be sure to reach out to them if you are having trouble with someone there.
Anyway, there's my plug. Not that I have any vested interest, except in maybe generating more traffic from more sexy people!
If anyone would like to meet with me there send me a PM (big frustration for me so far is that it can be hard to find a specific person there).
