or in a store, eating out, whatever and calling out..."Hey werent you on Lit?

I'm getting paranoid.

When I go out of the house and anybody gives me a second look,I start thinking about the fact that they might know me from the boards.

I am protected in a way that I do wear glasses just like Superman. ;)

On the one hand,I would love for someone to come up and introduce themselves, but on the other hand, what if they are a freak or something?

So it all boils down to this, are you worried about someone reconizing you?

YES! Especially when I first used my face in an Av.

Also, I find that I sometimes see people that look familiar, but I can't quite place them and I wonder ...

nope. I figure a lot of people are going to be afraid to share taht with anyone else and wouldnt say something. it's just like this one though, arent you afraid that one of your family members may be posting here? and if someone does, oh well. maybe something fun will come of it *smiles*

worried? nah!

If they recognize me from here, then they were here, too! It would be a reunion. Besides I've yet to run into anyone else from Idaho on the boards.

Paranoia will destroy ya! :)

Not worried at all. In fact, I've thought of introducing someone to Lit, but I haven't. It might be too weird.

But...what if you're flirting with some guy...and it turns out to be your brother?!! EWWWWWW...Heh.

Nope not worried in the least I keep to obscure circlres of friends and besides. If they do notice me then let them. Just another person to talk to is all I'm saying

No problem....

I live next door to ShyTall Guy already, and we see each other daily. If someone approached me, I'd say, "sure!" since they'd be in the same predicament! If you are in this neck of the woods, I'll make it easy for you!

:D

HEHE I've introduced a lot of my friends to Lit... so I guess you could say I see people from here frequantly. My AV is hint enough for anyone! and if that doesn't work I have pictures

Good Morning lovetoread....I was thinking about this recently, too. My answer is nope, not in the least. I've already met quite a few people here and at other sites too, and I enjoy it, its one of the biggest reasons I'm here.

I wouldn't have my face in my av if I was worried about being recognized, I think it would be too cool. In fact, I keep waiting for someone to walk up and say "umm....aren't you intrigued???":D

Right on Intrigued! If I saw you on the street I would ask just to stop the suspension

Wouldn't bother me one bit. If they knew I'm on Lit, then they surely must visit Lit and there is nothing wrong with being on Lit.

I have yet to actually meet anyone from Literotica out IRL.

Don't get paranoid LTR..........no biggie.

It would be very hard to out embrrass myself, looking back in time.

Someone from MY town? Hanging out on Lit? Hell, there's all of about 600 people in my town. Most of em are either really old or just plain too busy with other things to enjoy the finer points of Lit. :)

I have discovered that I know very well three people who are regulars on Lit. In all three cases I have said nothing because I know that all three have revealed things about themselves on this board that they may not wish to have anyone know whom they meet face to face. I know that for them (and for me too) Lit is a place where they are not judged negatively for their sexual quirks or their strong opinions, and that is a wonderful thing.

If I were to tell them "I go to Lit too, I know you are _________" it would shatter that safe haven for them.

Naah

Well in the place i stay its rare that ppl will even come forward and do something as bold as admitting that they read the Lit pages so it would be more shocking for them to tell me they saw me then me getting shocked :D and I enjoy that :p

oh i don't know about that..i've seen those pics:p

I have no clue what I would do if I saw someone from Lit walking around.

I am just too shy to go up to them.

Deep Down I dont mind if someon recognized me from Lit

But then again after the Evil Trolls I am not anxious to meet someone. I met LTR before my experience with Trolls. Also, while I was on the Hunt for LTR I stated somethings that were important to me. I could not believe some of the people I had grown to like and admired just out and out flamed us and tore us a part. ( I understand where some of the anger came from but rather then letting me know they publicly ripped me apart. Also, they turned on LTR when it was not even her doing. ) Some of these people I would not have minded meeting but now I would avoid them in public.

Those that I am friendly with or hopefully will be friendly with in the future I have to get to know them a while before meeting them.

I'm one who thinks it's wonderful that you two got together. When ever I think of you I think of a fairy tale with a happy ending. :)

I wouldn't mind being recognized. I've posted my pic here on three or four different occasions.

There is nothing I say here that I do't say to people in person...would not bother me one bit..

Funny that this question came up...my wife and I were out shopping a couple of weeks ago, and I thought I recognized someone from Lit, but I didn't say anything, and I didn't mention it to my wife. A little while later, my wife saw this person also, and she asked me, "Isn't that 'x' from Lit?" I believe it was this person, but we didn't want to freak them out, so we just left her alone.
