to your car? I realized today that I sort of was, it's a cute little car and almost (don't think I'm nuts here) has a personality of sorts. Tell me I'm not the only wacko out here. If so, what kind of car do you have and why do you "love" it? I have a '97 Neon, btw.

I have been away from my car for a month now and I miss it. I like it because it can take lots and lots of abuse, btw it is a 1988 Plymouth Reliant.

OH MY GAWD YES. I love that fuckin PoS! I haven't been able to drive that thing since february but I adore it and refuse to ever give it up

I LOVE YOU CAR!

There are a couple of pictures of "My Grey Baby" on threads about SUVs and what do you drive.

She's going to be Sixteen years old come Christmas. My daughter says it won't be very long before she's been completely rebuilt one piece at a time. (I just repl;aced the latch for the rear gate.)

OH yes, I'm very attached to my car. Noone else is ever allowed to drive it.

You're kidding, right? We sent out "new arrival" emails when we got the Vette. I cried when my husband put the Impala into a telephone pole. It's ok now (so was he, not a scratch).

I have two cars, and I love them both. I have a 1970 black corvette convertible and a 1995 Ford Probe. Currently the vette has been giving me troubles so I've been driving my Probe (hate the name LoL) alot lately. Next time I go over to my parent's I'll borrow my dad's digital camera and take a pic or two of my cars.

I think all of us have had, or have now, a car/truck/suv that we have/had become emotionaly involved. One good friend has incorporated his car into his addy.

I loved a ford escort. My wife still talks about THE Chrystler.

You have to stop every couple of miles and collect the bits that
have dropped off.

Emotionally attached? I was in tears when my wife brought it
back the other day with a big dent in the back :-(

My Truck

has a quarter of a million miles. No mechanical problems at all! God bless Chevy and the Vortec V-6! Thanks to the antler rats, the body is pretty much brand-spanking new (and the freezer is full of venison)!

It's always covered with dust, like me. I work it to death, but not unlike the Volvo in the Trevenian novel Shibumi, the harder you treat it, the more defiant and determined it gets to keep running, just so that I can never have another new vehicle, ever.

I have a new engine on blocks for it in the barn along with a drive train. Wonder if I'll ever get to use them.

Hmm, let's see...

'01 Honda Odyssey... HELL NO!
'99 Honda Accord...See Above!

Now, my next car, oh yeah. Already picked it out, picking it up in six months, ooh baby!
