I totally agree with your take on the online D/S relationships. Serving in real life is fulfilling, that satisfaction of submitting myself to someone in person is unmatched.

It seems to me that for a lot of people it really depends on the environment and who you are with. I look back on my past and see there were times I was submissive and times I was dominant. That was before I knew of the dominant/sub-labels we use today and that kind of play.

I see it similar to slow dancing. Someone has to lead or it is not very good or fun. When I started out, I had to learn how to do all the moves, keep us in sync and make it fun. Some women did not want to wait until I learned all the moves, so they would take over and show me what to do. I did not mind that and in many cases we still had fun. However, some men would never allow that. It is a complete turn-off.

The same can be said regarding the bedroom. If I am with the right woman, her personality and style will have me take a back seat and let her lead. It is not negative or positive, it is just a natural thing.
