Most people here are familiar with me by now, right? And if you are then you know that I am not one to go stirring up shit or keep it perpetuated. So please bear with me this time.....

Over the last few days when we've had these 'guests' slammin people, it has been noted (on the occassion) the similarities in the verbage style and usage of certain registered members and the 'guest' poster/s.

(ok.. I am trying to determine if i should beat around the bush or not and i think i've decided not to haha)

I think (i may be wrong) that Lasher had fun over the last couple of days stirring some shit of his own... 'saying what was on everyone else's mind' and now he has this great... deep ... discussion going on... and what baffles me is.. everyone is agreeing with him?!?!?! WTF is registrationalism???

This is not the first time I have seen him go off on some absurd soap box of his and everyone agree with him... and most of the people agreeing with him are the ones he is preaching about

So what's up with that? Everyone scared of the mighty Lasher or what??

Know what? Fuck You Lasher, I'm not scared of you.. and I totally do not agree with you on everything & anything ... SO THERE!

No, everyone is afraid of the Litera Nazi. Everyone runs from Lasher's tongue and Deborah's.. er, six shooters but for plain o'le fear.. *glances around nervously* You say somethin' bad 'bout her, then yah never say nothin' 'gain.

Not true, Never. I'm still here.

I called Lasher a name once (self-proclaimed BB cynic? Something like that...). He never retaliated, and I respect him for that. I've since publicly apologized to him. I still can't believe I was low enough to name-call.

I also questioned the humor of one of Deborah's stories, which seemed to me to be a thinly disguised personal attack. Deborah said that the story was a joke and that the object of the joke understood, and then she informed me that I have no sense of humor. Heh heh. I accept her explanation, but not her accusation. Still, I was pretty surprised that she didn't fire at me with both barrels.

Ahem hem. Nope, not affraid of Lasher. Actually I think he's pretty darn funny in his own twisted way.

And Whisper. Didn't you know the only one who seems to get both barrels from Deborah these days, are Flagg.

Fear, no. I'm afraid of the dentist, but not an online individual.

I admit I avoid certain threads. Unless the topic is something for which I have strong feelings, I don't like to argue. When I do want to argue, I can go to work and get paid for it.

(WS - I was very careful to cross my t's and dot my i's ;) )

As I wasn't talking about making Deb or Lasher mad in my post you still being here doesn't disprove my point..

Have I ever not posted to a thread because I thought Lasher would crucify me? NO

Have I ever put a little extra thought into a post to avoid drawing his ire? YES

Do I fear him? NO

Do I respect him? YES

Do I agree with Lasher? Sometimes

Do I think he is a bit harsh? Sometimes

The kicker to all this is that you can replace Lasher in all these statements with anyone else and most of them are still true. Granted, I usually fly low under the radar and don't post much, but I have had some interaction with people on this board and I have to say that no one has ever told me I was full of crap when I wasn't.

Goose, it's time to buzz the tower. :)

lol too funny!

hey.. i appreciate you of you for having balls enough t post haha.. i was beginning to wonder if any would! I agree with ya Bigdog.. .i don't worry if someone is gonna slam me or not when i post a thread or a reply.. the only time i really consider the effect my post will have if it will hurt someones feelings or not... something some people here don;t give a rats ass about

Whisper.. i admire you woman.. you have strength and courage.. and i know you say whats on your mind and heart .. even when you know it'll piss people off... and i agree with you... If you don't want an honest answer.. don't ask the freakin question!

Nope...I'm not afraid of him...we've had our own disagreements in the past. I just happen to agree with some of what he is saying on that other thread.

Usually, when I disagree with people, I just don't respond. If something in particular gets to me, I might comment to the individual personally. Sometimes, the post strikes the wrong nerve and I have to make a "public" statement.

While I'm glad I haven't been run off the board yet, like I said, it matters very little to me if I'm well liked on this board or not. I know there are people who feel the same way. I know that there are some people who feel the exact opposite...

I don't think anyone should be scared to speak their mind. But you do bring up a very good point, and I will add to it by saying...this isn't the first time, nor will it be the last.

Why the hell am I up at 3:00 in the morning? grrrr...

Exactly. I do the same. And if it doesn't interest me, I don't respond.

10 THINGS I AM AFRAID OF.....

:p

No, I'm not afraid of Lasher, I think he's an OK bloke... most of the time.

Hate to burst your bubble mistress Siren but Hershey doesnt make Snickers it may be owned by Hershey actually now that i think about it it may be owned by M&M Mars but oh well but they dont make their own Snicker bars. Those are made at Sweet Street Deserts in Reading, PA. Its about 15 minutes from the corporate headquarters for Godiva Chocolate which is all 45 minutes from Hershey. SO guess what where i live i eat alot of chocolate hehe!!

Nope, not afraid. More astounded at the arrogance of the man. The idea that we're all "waiting for the great Lasher to speak out on something" just makes me laugh.

He did though make some good points. One being that the guests that piss people off are undoubtedly regular users in disguise, which of course means that it it those who are registered that we have a gripe with, not the guests at all.

My suggestion is that everyone gets a life. If you are getting worked up enough to create ideologies about the BB (Registrationalism) then you are obviously neglecting the real world.

Lasher Lasher he's our man if he can't do it Siren can!!!!!

I am Muffin hear me be a bitch. Really, I've been a bitch. I blame Lasher entirely, he didn't stop me, or at least make some post about me being a bitch. Just kidding big kahuna.

I have a tendancy to kamikaze post. Without a helmet even. Unlike the actual kamikaze pilots, who required their helmets (they needed to use the radio system embedded in the helmets), I don't actually need a helmet. I do occassionally need to be reminded that the board isn't a chatroom. There is a perfectly wonderful chatroom around the corner. It works very well too. Well, except for this one guy who keeps wanting me to give him cyberhead and then goes on to tell me that in real life, he can't find a girl that is good enough to give him head. Anyway... There was a point to this, really there was. Oh yeah, Lasher points out that sometimes some of us kamikaze post and it is irritating to others on the board who don't like reading 23 pages of flirtathons.

My mouth is an unsprung beartrap. No idea why, but my daddy always said that. Poor unsuspecting little peanuts.

I'm not afraid of Lasher, I actually rather like the man. He is not afraid of anyone else's opinion of him. Writes what he thinks the rest of us can like it or not, no skin off his nose. And he does it with such sparkling wit. "Why hasn't anyone told the current batch of newbies to shut the fuck up?" was classic. It may not have worked with everyone, but the point was taken with me and I thought before I posted. Still try to. Not cause I fear Lasher or really care if people like me or not, but rather because I think possessing etiquette is important.

We live in a civilized society. Don't always, well usually don't, succeed, but I try to civilized in everything I do. Civility is practically a necessity.

Nope, not in the least...

I fear no mortal. Especially ones I can't see - and can't see me. For I am (picture this in your minds) the biggest, baddest, MoFo on this planet - well.... on this sight anyway.

The only person that I was afraid of..

was me. That was until I got some well needed therapy and some meds to deal with my depression. Lasher is only something that was invented to tweak our brains and make us think, a bit. I love the little guy for that.

How can you be afraid of a thought or an idea simply because it makes you a
little uncomfortable? Maybe you're just afraid of examining your own mindset.

I'm not afraid of him, but he is entirely too self righteous and overbearing. I too, think it's pretty damn amusing that he tends to think we're all waiting for the Gweat and Powerful Lasher to speak.

I do find it a little coincidental that the day after all the flaming guests show up, Lasher posts a commentary.

Grassy Knoll Theories?

Gweat and Powerful

Swell, now Elmer Fudd singing Fire will be in my head all day ;)

As much as I think Lashah (along with 3 dozen others) affect the mood, contribute to the atmosphere or whatever other metaphor you like, I really have a hard time believing that with more than 15,000 site visitors a day, 50 - 75+ of whom are on the boards at any given moment, he or anyone else has to post fake shit just to have something to comment on.

Granted, we all have more free time than the average person, and certain regulars have admitted to posting under other names, but Lasher has a history of being harsh, not hypocritical. This place is not really consistently slow or boring enough to necessitate a sham of that nature.

Just another of my 2¢.

WTF

Why should I fear a man who can do no more than type words that are posted here? What power does he have over me? Only what I give him.
