Are you a strong enough person to admit when you have been wrong?

My general rule of thumb is to never admit to being wrong, I never am, and to never apologize. Anyone who says otherwise is a bald-faced liar.



But then, I could be wrong. It's happened before. :D

Brat hon....it's useless to try and get most, not all, but most of the people here to see the err or thier ways. That's why I stopped fighting. Kinda like beating your head against a brick wall. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink.

In fact, you know all that negative shit that was flying around a few days ago. That was me. I'm responsible. I'm a man, though, so I can handle it. I'm the one who has to live with myself, after all....
 
I always admit when I am wrong. I may not always see that I am wrong in a situation but if you point it out I will readily apologize.
Sometimes I apologize when there is nothing to be sorry about.
I know... I'm wierd... so sue me.. wait.. don't do that.. I have no money..
 
I think humility not strength

allows us to be honest with ourselves. When we're honest with ourselves we can be the same with others.

It's either be humiliated because of my arrogance(have had plenty of that) or get real and fess up when I'm wrong. I don't think having this ability makes me stronger or better than someone else. I think it means that personally my life is better for it.

Honesty and humility aren't things I either have or don't have. I think we cultivate these characteristics and it's an ongoing process. If I had to get it right all the time, I'd be pretty bad off.

You'd be amazed how many people here on lit aren't humiliated simply because of thier 12 year old intellect. They accept no responsibility for anything they do because they are behind this wall of anonymity. It's sad really, but we can't take thier computers away from them.
