If no, we should band together, start a company and make bus-loads of money working till late in the evening.

What say you?

I used to be, then I worked an afternoon job for 7 years. Got transfured back to days a few months back and am having a hell of a time getting adjusted

Yes but a better person after coffee.
Life has forced me to be a morning person. My whole life has been getting up early. From school to the Marines to work. The only time it didn't apply was college and believe me I took advantage of that.
Nowadays it's just a habit from so many years of getting up.

What line of work are you in?

I am after 3 cups of coffee or so. :)

You're in the "Maybe" pile.

Qualifications?

I think a 'Security' job would be appropriate for you. Seems like a good way to channel that anger.

Ten years ago I could sleep until 11 am just fine. Now I can't go past 8. Even then, I'm annoyed with myself for wasting the morning away.

Does this mean I'm getting old?

Janitoral for now. Worked closing shifts in retail before that. I'm trying to better mymyself and get out of the cleaning buisness. I took a test to get into the electrical trades and hope I get a call

i am too, been getting up to go to work for damn near 30 yrs now.

not wanting the waste the day is a good attitude to have :)

Clearly there's market demand for that mug.

Therefore, I propose we manufacture said mug and others like it. There's certainly enough snark on Lit. to come up with other cuntish sayings.

Let's do this!

I need an electrician to run a line out to where the pond will eventually be.

Good luck and kickass, but don't shock yourself.

Good luck to you.

I am much more productive in the evenings and at night. I don't know why - maybe because my brain has had things to chew on all day and is nice and warmed up? That said, I also love working early morning sometimes when my brain is fresh and the day feels ripe with potential.

I'm a snooze-button-masher, though. I wish I weren't, because those extra eighteen minutes of half sleep probably aren't doing anything for me, but I am just not ready to wake up after one alarm. After two or three, though - BAM. And I'm a chipper motherfucker, too.

My internal alarm goes off at 5 am
I can't turn it off
I have to admit I get more done
when everyone's out of my way

When I worked Downtown
I went in early
get admin stuff out of the way

But then I waste away time here. How is that any better? ;)

waste time? stuff and nonsense!
you bring us your sparkling personality and, occasionally, your cute ass clad in pretty undies.
in other words, you're performing a valuable public service.

god bless you, mr rosewater

When I think of mornings, I think of early like 5 am so no. 8 am is sleeping in to me.
