Are there really much more men than women on this forum ?

As a relatively new member here, I have the impression that there are almost 10 men for every woman here, I hope I am wrong. Unlike nonpersonal technical or scientific forums where I am also a member of where almost everyone is a man which is to be expected. But such an imbalance for such personal and intimate subject for both sexes is a little weird.
Many nudies (pictures of naked or sparsely clothed women) of which some are really beautiful, are with her face on it and I hope they are taken by herself or taken by hubby/boyfriend/anyone else with consent.
Is my assumption true (I hope not) ?

I'd take the guess that the website is 90% men and 10% real women.
Many of the accounts saying women are not real.
Like most things in life if it seems too good to be true then probably isn't true, and only way to really know is a video chat or a phone call anything via a message is just words on a page.

Unfortunately, I suspect the ratio is significantly worse actually (after discounting the catfish).
It isn't this site's fault; I see similar ratios in other parts of the internet as well.

There are probably a handful of women here but very, very few. A lot of the "women" are either men or middle school students fooling around. My kids used to catfish people on the web all the time and I only found out about it many years later.

Lit doesn't seem all that different either, so I think your estimate could be correct. It does have some negative consequences, with men getting too little attention and women too much

Here's an exceedlingly unscientific small snapshot. In AH, anyway, there looks to be about twice as many men as women.

I'd guess the ratio is at least 100 men to 1 woman on Lit.... possibly 1,000, just out of curiosity, I wonder if the site tracks it. I've seen research on topic.

I think there's some truth to that. But maybe many of the men are using Lit & other sites. And maybe they're on Lit mainly to meet/chat/cam/role-play. IDK don't really know... just guessing.

Well I can tell you as a man that I prefer erotica. I'm a sub though, so I might deviate from the norm. I've always found femdom erotica much more arousing than femdom videos.
