Are public sector unions about to suffer

Ishtard on the side of the freeloaders. No surprise there.

"There is no right to strike against the public safety by anybody, anywhere, any time"

- Calvin Coolidge

I was a member of two unions, one AFLCIO, one STATE COUNTY CITY EMPLOYEES. Both were hot for dues and assessments, all the time.

How does a possible ruling that non-union members don't have to pay union dues equate to "a mortal blow" to "public sector unions" instead of simply a financial hit for them?

People won't join the unions so they can avoid paying the fees, eventually the unions won't have money and will disolve. If this comes to pass it's hard to see unions surviving cus people are deeply retarded.

It might be a blow to the idea that union bosses can sit down with government and discuss just how much they can fleece the taxpayer and get by with it.

The amazing thing is how quickly the fleeced run to the defense of government and the unions that it supports...

When I first moved to this county it was virtually impossible for public employee unions, and all the pols were Democrats.

45 years later all the pols are Republicans and most public workers are unionized.

A huge problem I see is the looming disparity between public employee pay and benefits and the private sector. Last I looked private sector pay averaged 32K while cops, teachers, and fire averaged: 45K, 55K, and 75K. Private pay has not increased since Obama took office, public pay has.

I just looked for the current economy data for this county, and all the links for government worker pay are kaput. Average pay in this county is now 33,700.

Pay from 2010 thru 2015 was 5% or about 1% per year.
From 1980-1990 pay increased 45%.
From 1990-2000 pay increased 40%
From 2000-2010 pay increased 36%
From 2010-now pay increased 5%

That's never going to change.

Average pay has nothing to do with this.

Why dont civil servants look out the window in the morning?

Because then they'd have nothing to do in the afternoon.

Most of the time they are busy surfing porn.

Hell, I think some of them are here on a daily basis.

I don't want to name names; I will leave that up to you and Queersetti...

Precisely! This is Dear Leader we're talking about here.

Government is all about fairness, right? It surely treats its minions fairly!
