Radical is the key work in this sentence meaning departing markedly from the usual and custamary; extreme. The extremists are the problem, in most cases, not the beliefs.

Wacko's---every group has them. Radical "Militant"athiesm was an integral part of the materialism of Marxism-Lenonism and significant in the French Revelution. Recently the term militant athiest has been used to describe the New Atheism Movement which is characterised by the belief that religion should not be tolerated. But I don't blame all athiests for the bigotry I encounter.

I am sorry that you have had bad experiences in churches. Most of the time in the church I go to we gather to support one another. We discuss how to care for people that are hurting. It's a place to let down your hair and have fun. It's also a place were it is safe to cry when you are hurting. I really do wish it was a place for you to feel comfortable and welcome. Christians are human and because of that I can't say all Christians would make everyone welcome. I can only speak for myself when I say that I don't "target" anyone. Basically, because no one is more different than me.

Some or even most Churches are not "any religion" and not even all Christians. Jews don't recruit. Neither do Buddhists. Nor do they believe in any kind of Hell.
There are quite a few Christians denominations that don't believe in Hell or active recruiting either.
Then there are Universalists who are part of the aforementioned groups along with most others.
Lots of religions that don't fit your stupid definition. And it is stupid.

The two differ in some pretty big ways. I think that there is one NT verse that makes reference to homosexuality, but I'm not sure which book it is. If you ask me, it's probably just something that Constantine and his cronies put in to maintain the waning power of the Empire.
