CBS Evening News and the New York Times don't seem to be paying nearly as much attention to the Gary Condit-Chandra Levy as the rest of the country.

CBS Evening News has basically ignored the story so far. Producer Jim Murphy says he "will cover it when I feel there is real news there. It's a sexy and tawdry story and they feel they have to. I don't feel you have to cover it without evidence of a crime."

So....evidence of subornation of perjury and obstruction of justice isn't enough for Jim Murphy? It's plenty for CBS' morning show. In fact, the CBS, NBC, and ABC morning shows have devoted a total of more than 140 minutes to the story since it broke.

Then there's the New York Times. Not a single Levy-Condit story has run on its front page.

How interesting that two of the Democratic Party's biggest cheerleaders should suddenly feel that a Democratic congressman who obstructs a police investigation isn't newsworthy. Make no mistake about it--they'd be all over this story like green on grass if Condit were a Republican. The only reason they're NOT all over this story is because it doesn't look good for the Democrats.

Soon, they will tire of being scooped by the Enquirer and Andra_Jenny and then they will be forced to unload some of the really nastry dirt they are holding on to. I mean eventually they have to make a buck.

Scandal pays well. And the Liberals, by definition, are always going to have more...

Thump, thump, thump, the sound of shoes dropping, thump, thump, thump...
