One of the three White men convicted in Ahmaud Arbery’s murder did not want his daughter dating a Black man and called him the n-word in a text message, according to the FBI.

Another shared a meme that claimed “White Irish slaves were treated worse than any other race in the U.S.” The third, Travis McMichael, who fatally shot Arbery in February 2020, spoke about killing Black people and wrote in a message that he loved his job because “zero n-----rs work with me.”

“We used to walk around committing hate crimes all day,” he wrote in another text conversation a few months before the shooting.

The second day of testimony in the federal hate crimes trial over Arbery’s death opened Wednesday with an FBI analyst detailing dozens of racist social media posts and messages allegedly sent by the three men who chased and killed Arbery, a 25-year-old Black man, in their coastal Georgia neighborhood in early 2020.

It's always been quite clear that their motivation for killing him was because he was guilty of being in their neighborhood black.

Pieces of trash.

It pisses me off that Arbery died while these shitheads continue to breath air.

one of his killers is scared he'll get killed if he gets sent to a Georgia state prison
Travis McMichael’s attorney Amy Lee Copeland filed a memorandum on Thursday in federal court asking for him to remain in the physical custody of the federal government because apparently, he is afraid he’ll be killed once in the Georgia state prison system

Interesting postscript to the Arbery murder trial. The guy who shot Arbery to death was the son of an unaccredited "Chief Deputy" in the local prosecutors office.

The prosecutor, a woman named Jackie Johnson, immediately recused herself because she had quote "affection" unquote for her (married) deputy but worked behind the scenes to torpedo the investigation, and had almost succeeded in getting the charges thrown out when a video of the "coon hunt" made by a friend of the deputy that day surfaced. Oops! Life in prison for the Chief Deputy and his boy.

The state ethics committee investigated Johnson for two years and found 16 phone calls from her to her deputy during the investigation and trial. They recommended prosecution (a rarity in Geogia) for violation of oath of office.

She appealed the decision, saying this ain't the way we handle things in south Georgia.

Superior court judge handed down a one-page decision: She goes to trial next month.
