Approved stories...

Did anyone else that had their stories approved not get an email to tell them this? I had 2 stories that were approved and i havent recieved an email. I'm just thinking this may not be a good thing, because then noone will know their story was approved unless they check chyoo manually.

I negan a story over a year ago, & last night, found it among the New Stories list. Yet I have gotten no E-mails about approved threads or stories in months.

Not to do with new stories but I stopped receiving notifcations from chyoo about anything last year.

In the last week, I tested out Story Approval, Thread Approval, and the Contact Form. Story Approval notification didn't work, the others did.

Is your email up to date?

No my settings are exactly as they were when I signed up to Chyoo. Actually I may know what it was that caused it. The e-mail I failed to recieve was notifcation of Sim writing a thread for me last year when I was working in Italy, and it's possible my account my hotmail my have been inactive when he sent it. As I was notified that my new thread on Secret Agent was approved.

I to only receive updates when a thread is added to one of my stories, or when one of my threads is approved. I did not receive a notice that a new story had been approved. I wonder what changed there?

OH MY GOD!!!! CHYOO LIVES!!!!

Now can someone tell me what the hell happened here?

Long, long ago, I found Chyoo, and started posting stories. Then, suddenly, it stopped. No new stories. Nothing. The "Discuss" link that led here was removed, but I still knew it existed.

I poked around, and found Of Habit's Chyoo 3 (before he was really ready to tell anyone about it) and posted about it here. (those threads seem to have gone the way of the dodo) I went through the same process as TwistedClown, finding Sun Lane Media, and getting no reply. I emailed any address I could find there, and some other addresses at Literotica. I never got any reply. I follow ed some Chyoo3 stuff for a while... Found the way that Chyoo3 copied chyoo2 passwords very clever, until something at Chyoo2 changed, which we found funny because we didn't think that ANYONE was watching it any more.

As I was clearing up my "special" email account, I found a notice from Chyoo, and went to the site. That's when I found that the site it ALIVE!!!! YAHOO, WOOT, YIPEE, and ZOWIE!!!

Now I see Manu has given people people Moderator access (thankyou thankyou thankyou) and things are being fixed, and updated! (thankyou thankyou thankyou)

But...
Can someone tell me what happened here? I'm not trying to look a gift horse in the mouth, but i love a good mystery. How did we (the literotica/Chyoo comunity) get back into Chyoo? Who owned it, and are they awake again, or did we get Chyoo from them?

I understand if there was some legal mess, that there may be some things that you can't, or really shouldn't say, but please give me something.

As I said, I looked into this ages ago, and I got no where. Now that someone has gotten somewhere, I just want to know how.

Theory

All I have to go on is theory and conjecture. I think that Manu or Manu's bosses got tired of getting all the pings from everyone who was trying to find out why nothing had been updated for so long, and he just gave in and gave four participants moderator status (after soliticting for nominations/volunteers) to take the heat off.

It worked.

I've never gotten an email confirming any of the stories I've posted. Are you suppossed to get an email? Now I feel cheated...
