5 to 7 days, and there is a contest going on, so those stories get priority.

although, which option did you use to submit the piece in? did you do the coppy and paste or file attachment?
the file attachment can take longer.
also, is it illustrated? if it is, i.e. with photos embedded, it can take a long time.

It can take a long time regardless, I had one story recently that according to my estimate took about two weeks to post. Before the contest started even so that wasn't it. 
Anyway, there is one hard and fast rule to posting a story to literotica, never ever click on the pending link. Puts the story at the back of the list. Wait for something to happen, namely declined. If you do get a declined click on the link because that will hopefully give you a better reason than the one shown. I've never had that one happen so that is just what others have said.
Besides that it is more or less, when they want to post a story is when they post a story. Basically that means check your author page to see if you are denied once a day, otherwise move about your life. Do what I do and work on a different story or a continue of the one you are waiting on. The less you worry about being accepted or not the better off your digestion is.

That's just four days. Mine are taking five days now (again--it briefly went back to the "normal" three days). If it goes to seven (without you fiddling with any of the buttons on your submissions page) you wouldn't be out of line to send a PM (upper right on this page) to the editor, Laurel, to request a check on the submissions.
