Pack the Courts!

Looks like the true American Patriots hate the latest SCOTUS picks.

  • Approval down from 49% in July
  • Current reading is lowest in Gallup's trend; prior low was 42%
  • New high of 37% say court is too conservative

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Americans' opinions of the U.S. Supreme Court have worsened, with 40%, down from 49% in July, saying they approve of the job the high court is doing. This represents, by two percentage points, a new low in Gallup's trend, which dates back to 2000. The poll was conducted shortly after the Supreme Court declined to block a controversial Texas abortion law. In August, the court similarly allowed college vaccine mandates to proceed and rejected a Biden administration attempt to extend a federal moratorium on evictions during the pandemic.

Yet another post demonstrating that you're a special kind of stupid. You pack the court and it becomes a rubber stamp. Whenever one party controls the other two branches they will expand the court to suit their agenda.

LOL! I guess your sarcasm detector is broke along with the rest of your brain. Fuck, you're a dumb fucking twatsicle.

You're talking about a branch of government whose power is limited to blocking government action.

There is no blocking. The political branches have to come to an agreement on the people whose job it is to ensure that the political branches stay within the limits of the constitution.

None of that makes the SCOTUS a bully stick of oppression.

.
The SCOTUS currently doesn't reflect the will of the populous / popular vote, and is as illegitimate as every President who lost the popular vote by millions and nominated them.

Is it any surprise the approval rating of the court mirrors the upper limit of republican support???

I suspect that approval rating is going to crater if the SCOTUS does their job and upholds New York's gun laws and kicks the Pro-birth crowd's legislation to the curb.

*nods*

The SCOTUS currently doesn't reflect the will of the populous / popular vote . . .

Well, it was never supposed to. I sometimes question the wisdom even of electing state-level judges. But, then, I question the wisdom of electing county sheriffs -- their job is supposed to be administrative, not political. We should only vote for officials who are expected to express politics in policy.

Excellent rebuttal! Laz is 100% correct and the bipartisan poll numbers prove it.

The poll numbers prove the public doesn't approve of the SCOTUS . . . but that's neither here nor there. They're judges.

That said, I agree wholeheartedly with the packing idea. Or, better yet, a mandatory retirement age of 65 or 70 for all federal officials, including judges and members of Congress.

Yes.... and under (D) control it's used to block (R) democracy in states or even federally when (R)'s legislate/govern.

None of that makes the SCOTUS a bully stick of oppression.

So then without any violation of the constitution why are so many lefties demanding and crying for the SCOTUS to do something about (R)'s governing (R) controlled states how (R)'s see fit sending (D)eez to the fucking moon??? :D

There is no "instead of." To block is to check.

Yes, you block democracy with it, that's why it's a bully stick of oppression for you control freaks. :D

Laz i 100% incorrect.

You both need a remedial US government class.

The USA isn't a simple majority democracy nor is the SCOTUS supposed to be a democratic representation of the people.

You're both politically illiterate fucking retards that have no idea how the US government actually works.

Go get your GED's, you need them. :)

You should prove what Laz said is wrong instead of flapping your trap.

If you had graduate high school or had any idea how the US government works you'd see how much is wrong with his wildly ignorant statement.

Go get your GED son.

That's not what Laz was talking about, idiot. Try to comprehend before responding.
