Approval delay?

I submitted a story for approval 7 days ago, and it's still showing as pending. Anyone know if there's been a sudden glut of stories that's causing a delay? Normally stories go through vetting between 2 and 4 days, so I'm concerned it's been overlooked.

No slowdown. I submitted a story on the 26th that posted on the 28th. If you have clicked on the pending button, the submission will have gone back to the end of the queue. If you haven't, you probably should PM Laurel (Private Message system at the top right of this page) and ask for a check of the posting status.

And in the future, you would be better to ask questions like this in the Authors Hangout. The General Board people generally just make fun of anyone who realizes that this is a story site. Few of them will have any idea what you're asking.

Thanks. I've pm'd Laurel and taken note of the above.

I thought clicking on that "Submit" button sent it to the back of the queue As long as you don't hit the submit button again, it won't go down the list.

Every damned time I post on the forums expecting a helpful reply, someone sees it as a chance to gripe about something or another member that has absolutely nothing to do with the original post.

And I had this weird idea that Literotica was for adults, not children. Maybe I was wrong.

Don't pay the shitstains like the one you quoted no nevermind. They're evolutionary dead ends on the fast track to a one-way express train downstairs when the next heat wave rolls through town. ;)

According to Recidiva, there are many underage people here.

Just had a good peek at your sketches. Pretty damned good.

For whatever it's worth, I've submitted and update to two stories 8 days ago, and they are still in 'pending' status. NO, I didn't click the 'pending' button. I did send a PM to Laurel 3 days ago but that didn't seem to have any effect. In my mind, this means either the story updates are still stuck in the ether, or I've done something to upset her and she's punishing me by not letting me fix problematic stories.

But yes, this type of question belongs in the Author's Hangout forum. This GeneralBoard is full of distractions and the majority of people here only want to complain or harass others.

The "usual explanation" is that edits and deletes take appreciably longer than submissions, but I recently deleted a story for the first time (to reappear as a chapter in a multichapter piece) and that was done in two days. Sounds like you need to PM her again. I doubt you're being punished. I've wrangled with her and she hasn't held up submissions (she's just posted the stories much farther down the New List then she did before and stopped being generous with the Green Es on my stories).

I have over 900 stories pending.

Laurel hates bdsm underage unicorn incest.

I have a letter coming for 2014 Outstanding Reviewer Recognition.

But not from this site.
