I want to thank everyone who has has such positive feedback for me! The new story is up and running (A need to be filled-JJ) and doing well...

Does anyone know how to post a story directly throught the scripts?? I have sent all mine through email and it took a month before it was up! I have been told the other processs is faster... but I need help!!!

Posting through scripts

My stories are all typed in Word.
Then when I logon to Lit I scroll down below the section for the e-submission to the Browse button.
Pressing on that takes me back to my hard drive and I just keep clicking until the correct path appears in the box to the left of the Browse button.
My stories are all in C:\Mydocs\stories\[story title]
When I'm satisfied I've got the correct story ready for submission I scroll down a little further to where the Save button is. Press that and Hey Presto you've submitted.
The only thing is you can't read your submission until it is posted so make everything as correct as possible in your word prcoessing program on your hard disk before submitting the story.

If you are running Windows or a MAC, you can cut and paste into the text entry box in the submission script.

1: Open your story in your wordprocesser.

2: Login and go the story submission page.

3: Fill in the title and other header information

4: change windows to your story

5: Select all text. (In Word use CTRL-A)

6: Copy the selected text to the clipboard. (CTRL-C)

7: Change windows back to the submission page

8: Put your cursor in the text box and click once to set the place to insert the story

9: Paste the story into the text box. (CTRL-V)

10: Preview your story to make sure the paragraph breaks and basic formatting transfered correctly. NOTE: the margins are wider in the preview than they are when posted.

11: When you are satisfied the story transfered complaetely and properly, click the submit button.
