I mean in the literal sense, not the figurative Literotica sense.

I'm cooking what will end up as Mexican shredded chicken in a slow cooker, in a chipotle sauce. It's got another hour of cooking to go. The sauce tastes great so far.

Well, not cooking yet exactly, but I've got a few pounds of tri-tip in the fridge in a Santa Maria marinade. It will go on the smoker tomorrow.

Frozen Detroit-style pizza from Costco. Fancy? No. Interesting? Nope. Delicious? I believe it will be.

I had to look up "Detroit style." That looks good. I enjoy all kinds of pizza. Thin-crust New York style is my favorite, but I like all the other styles as well.

What toppings?

Recently made pizza but have been too busy to cook much more than that.

One was plain cheese and one was pepperoni, they were for a friend helping my husband and I move. Fresh grated mozzarella from Maplebrook farms in Vermont, fucking delicious, and a homemade 24-hour rested garlic herb dough. Pizza sauce was homemade as well. It had a great fluffy crust with a nice golden crunch to it.IMG_20250808_115601726.jpg

I cooked pulled pork on the stove in a dutch oven today. Served it as taco's with soft corn tortillas, greek yogurt and shredded cheese. I made a dressing for cole slaw as a side.

No cooking tonight. Tonight I ordered out for Chinese. The first time since December that we've had Chinese and it was absolutely delicious! This weekend will definitely be meatloaf.

My condolences. I want to make a pot pie from scratch. I've bought the frozen ones, and I've probably burned a few of those. It's been a while since I've cooked one.
Use a biscuit topper rather than pie crust. Way better. Puffed pastry works as well. Pot pie is super easy.

Smoked pork chops with a very nice apple rub and a large baked potato. Delicious and healthy. Losing weight doesn't automatically mean no flavor.

Oatmeal cookies with raisins and chocolate chips. That’s a WIP, given a double batch of dough in the fridge.

Saving up raspberries for eventual syrup. šŸ˜

Tomorrow morning will be Morning Glory muffins. If those meet the standard, I’ll try to drop some off at the AH.

Currently in the process of making some cherry lemon bars and a cherry sauce for ice cream or cake tomorrow.

Also made ambrosia, but most people hate that. (I happen to really like it as a light summer dessert.)
