Here's another story idea for anyone who's interested:
Your main character is an attractive young woman. I imagine her to be in her late 20s or early 30s. She is married to a man whom she loves with all her heart. After about a year of unsuccessfully trying to get pregnant, the couple decide to each undergo fertility tests to discover what the problem is.
The outcome is quite disturbing. The man has a rare genetic condition, a symptom of which is that he produces very little sperm. However the more concerning aspect of this condition is that within 10 or 15 years, some vital organ (I reccomend either kidneys, liver or bone marrow) will begin to rapidly deteriorate, and without a transplant, he will die. Even more worrying is that the man's rare blood type makes it highly unlikely that there will be a compatible donor on the registry when he needs the transplant.
The only blood relatives the man is still in contact with are on his mother's side (he has no known siblings). They are all tested over the following weeks, and none of them are a match to the man.
But the wife knows that there is one hope left. The man's father abandoned him and his mother when he was little. The guy was a complete asshole and never gave a rat's ass about his wife or son. Needless to say, the (sick) man hates his estranged father and never wants anything to do with him ever again. Although she has never met him, the wife also hates the father because of all the grief he has caused the man she loves. Nonetheless, she hires a private detective to track the man down, knowing that his genes almost certainly make him a compatible donor for his son.
The P.I. tracks the man down, but when prompted, the father refuses to ever donate his organs to his son, frankly admitting that he couldn't care less about him. This outcome enrages the wife, but she is desperate to help her husband (who knows nothing about her hiring the detective), and so she decides to take matters in to her own hands.
The P.I.'s notes include the address of a bar that the estranged father frequents. The woman goes there one night, dressing kind of slutty. She sits down beside the father, seduces him, and then they go back to his place to fuck (or maybe just the backseat of his car). The woman supresses her incredible hatred of this man and screws him, as the ultimate gesture of love - not for him, but for her husband.
Weeks later, the woman discovers she is pregnant. She lets her husband believe that the child is his (the condition made it unlikely that the man could have children, but not impossible), when in actuality, it is his half brother or sister. She knows that because they share a father, her child is very likely to be a compatible donor for her husband. And in 15 years or so, when the man's organ(s) fail, the woman's child will be mature enough to donate part of their own organ.
