This has been one strange year for me. On top of all the insanity that life has become, I've lost my content editor. I have a great editor for spelling, grammar and the like, but I need someone to find the rough spots and point out any inconsistencies in my stories.

One of my novels currently rests on a publisher's desk, awaiting the final decision. I’ve had a couple of shorts published and hope for more soon. I write daily, although I do the bulk of my writing on the weekends.

I'm currently working on the story I left unfinished – A Cloak of Lies. The prologue through chapter six are posted on my page: SweetWitch. The first chapter of Book II is almost ready for editing. It’s the story of a long-missing-husband-turned-spy and the wife he returned home to claim. There’s mystery, intrigue, danger and a healthy dose of grit in this story.

Is there anyone willing to take on a romance/adventure/thriller writer who has a real passion for writing?

Thanks,

Molly Wens

:( Am I unlucky or am I unlucky, huh? :( I'd have loved to work with you and I can't. *sigh*:(

I can't help you but I can root for you and tell any editor answering you that they'd better do a good job or I'll kick their ass. :D

Dear Lady, working with you would be a blast, but I remembered your telling me that you couldn't before as you did not have the time. :( I would have asked you first otherwise.

My last editor was fantastic. I really miss him, but he had commitments at home that took him away. Now I'm just lost.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, a truly good editor is worth his/her weight in gold. There just aren't sufficient words in the English language to offer to the good people who do your job.

Root away, Cibelle. At this point, I could use all the help I can get.

Thanks.

Sorry to hear that. I hope you get it fixed soon.

But that's the way my luck has been running lately.

Sweetwitch, what kind of stuff is in your fiction?

I am in no way qualified to be a grammar checker, or dialogue integrator BUT I have a fair hand at spell checking becuase my vocabulary is vacuously large. I might like to ogle one of your pieces if you like as long as there is no

-scat
-bloodplay
-breathplay
-scary black men ( no offense to you brotha's out there)
-men wanting to be sissyfied or dressed up as woman (case by case basis on that one)

I can accept RTF files, or Cut and paste in email.

Oh, I almost forgot!
Lady Cibelle, I bow down to your greatness with the Quill of Grammatical Exquisitory. please don't step on me.

What I'm looking for is a person who can find the inconsistencies in my stories, and help identify rough or awkward areas where the flow is disturbed.

I don't write stories that deal with feces--human or otherwise--or anything dealing with breathplay, bloodplay, gender identity. The only scary men are the bad guys, color notwithstanding.

What I write is mostly drama with a touch of wit. I have a flare for horror (not gore), romance, adventure/action and thrillers. My characters and plots tend to be well-developed and set in reality. I've done a few shorts that step away from my usual work, but nothing too offensive or crude.

I have in mind a very serious career in writing in the main stream, so some of my readers think I don't have enough "pornographic" type sex, but I'm told that my erotic scenes can melt one's monitor.

My work (what my agent didn't make me remove from the net) can be found at SweetWitch. Unfortunately, the work I took down was my best, the three novels that Fred, the Wonder Agent is currently working on selling. One of them won Best Story last December, and won awards in the Golden Clitorides last year. I've also had GC nominations and awards on some of the other stories that are still posted.

Please let me know if this will work for you and thanks for responding.

I'll give it a shot, if you're still in the market for someone to help out. I prefer to work with flow and structure over grammar and spelling. However, if you are looking for someone a little more, er, established, within the community then I'll understand.

But I've got nothing else happening right now for me.

I've sent you a PM. Let me know what you think.

I thank everyone who has responded to my cry for help. I now have my editor and things are looking up.

Thanks so much!

Molly
