I know I am with all the commercials and posters. The jewelry stores and cards. It's actually kinda all blow out of proportion.

I am sick of the commercials for sure, they are so freaking cheesy too. There is one that runs on the radio here for a day spa, and they make it out like you're sending your lady to fucking Greece or something. I wanna puke everytime I hear this one. I am not sick of Valentine's Day, just the commercial aspect of it.

Amen. I am sick of the "Hallmark" Holidays.

Father's day, Mother's day. One-eyed wonder weasel day....Wait, that last one's every day....

I'm not sick of the Holiday's, commercialism gets rather tedious after the millionth time. But if you get back to the real reason for some holiday's, nope will never be tired of them.

( I love the day after Valentines, My baby is going to be ONE.)

Your point is valid.

A lot of things would be a lot better if cash wasn't involved.

Mmmmm...... Just remembering a very nice Valentines day involving two girls and a tube of lube...... ;)

I dislike valentine's day the most and its the day I loathe lovey dovey couples I see on the street making out. Makes me realize how lonely and pathetic I am.

You make a Holiday what it is. If you want to dwell on the fact you are alone than you won't be happy. Only you can decide if you are willing to change that. Who knows next year you could be here spouting pages of love poetry to someone special.
:D

I'm Ignoring Valentines Day

I just ain't gonna pay it no mind. All I know, is the Daytona 500 is SUNDAY, and thats all that matters. Plus, my Yankees have started spring training, so two things to anticipate. Heck with Valentines Day. It's just a pathetic exucse to be cheesy if you ask me. I ain't worried about being alone for the day. It'd be better than being stood up by some dumb broad who said she was lonely, and offered to spend it with ya. I hate fuckin players!

valentines day?
well if your in a good thing everyday is valentines day, if your not feb 14 is extra sucky. just my take

What is Valentine's day?

I keep hearing about it but what's it about exactly?

Put me on the side that dislikes Valentine's Day intensely. I mean - just what the hell is it for? If you love some one you should be showing it every day, not buying cheesy cards spouting over the top mushy platitudes.

I've always disliked the day - from the Junior High School gotta-have-a-boyfriend-so-I'll-get-something-and-not-be-a-total-freakish-outcast, to the present day's madness. Ever mistakenly walk into a florist's shop on the afternoon of Valentine's Day? The men snatching up whatever left over flowers they can grab so their wives/girlfriends won't beat the living shit out of them when they get home are so pathetic! But, of course, the women sitting at home waiting for them are even more so.

Well, okay, end of rant, thanks for providing a place to do it....

Right here. I hate Valentines day. I suppose it's nice if your're dating but I'm usually not, so it's usually just a reminder of how miserable life can be. Add to it the fact the woman I love is getting married to someone else, tomorrow, yeah I really hate Valentines day.

My kids have been making something and I got them little things to let them know I love them. I also got something for them to give their dad.

If not for that, I'd be on the "I hate Valentine's day" wagon.

On a good note though, Valentine's day marks the day my father became cancer free. 9 years tomorrow, so that's cause to celebrate!

I just really hate the watching the couples that fight every other day of the year prend like they are so incredibly happy on one. I mean, what is the big deal.

good, because its such a horrible, sucky, awful holiday. Not ONCE in all my years living, have I EVER had ANYONE to celebrate it with that I loved. And I doubt I ever will.

Mmmmmmmm HATERS....well have a nice Valentine's day anyway...you don't have to spend to enjoy..

A few  's :D

I agree with Chele...I show my love every day and don't need Valentines Day as an excuse, so to speak. I still do some small things on February 14th--just don't go hog wild. AA

my postman got a good....

kicking this morning AND I am going to report him for theft!

Guess you can call me a sentimental fool....but you know valentine's day can be had all year...and it's not just for lovers you know....your good friends, your children if you have them...and even loving yourself....the best company you can have:heart:

I agree all the holidays are over commeralized...that's a given..

Valentine's day is special for me too..My little greatgrandaughter was born 2 years ago today...and a little special darling she is and brings joy to my heart....

I don't hate it but i don't think you have to spend money to let someone know you love them....there is so many ways to show love without the commercial stuff...and the less expensive to homemade is so special because you know someone really put their heart into it.....
