What i'm wondering, IS..this possible? can we all light a single candle and have a satellite actually be able to zoom in close enough to the US to "see" the candles burning all at the same time? I can't imagine it being possible..now, i know it's possible to zoom in close enough to see, let's say a house. but can they actually get the WHOLE USA in a single frame and still see the candles burning? does anyone else think that this may just be a "hoax"?

it was last night, and if it was a hoax, my parents fell for it

I got an email of that but I thought that it was for last week. Last Friday, I believe.

It doesn't matter when it was, its not possible. If there were millions of candles placed next to each other it might give off enough light to be seen from the earths atmosphere, but one candle every few feet would not work much less one every few miles or so!!

Now that I think about it, it was last week. I remember someone posting a thread that asked if any other member participated in it. And most of us, myself included, replied that we were at work.

Well i know there was a thing about lighting a candle at 7pm on Friday.. but it wasn't the same as this.. i did do that one.. as a matter afact.. a candle has been burning in my lantern outside every night since last tuesday.. it will burn until the last person is found..

I have no clue what the deal is with the dates, but the answer about the satellite is....yes

http://www.usgs.gov

They've done it to every region and county in the country.

Getting it all in one shot is questionable but hey...
