Actually, I was wondering, if...and tell me no if this isn't a good idea, If maybe I should start up the good vs. evil thread again, this time here. More war, more angels, more demons...I just loved that thread, and wish it hadn't died. But our people were leaving. It probly won't start until one or two of my threads are finished, but just wondering, and for those of you who have nooooooo clue what I am talking about, it is a thread in which the angels and demons fought during the armageddon, I played lucifer and some of the best writers (well....some of my fav.) wrote in it, and some of the writers I wish would have wrote in it, didn't get an opportunity....

Well, milady, I'm thoroughly enjoying our time together in the Xena thread (WHAT! There are people who haven't read it? GO NOW! Read it, and come back. We'll wait.) and I think I'd like to see what comes of this thread. The idea is intrigueing. If there is room for a newbie hack like me, I'll be happy to join in the fun.

Description:
Name: Tarasque, last of the Incubi(male demons of a powerful kind)
Description: 8 feet tall. Thousands of years old. Most powerful(not king) of the male demons. looks 22, can transform himself into a 24 foot tall, tan, overmuscled, and not slightly attractive monster. This dude carries around a 10 foot sword and enormous shield. In addition, he is a powerful demon-mage.
History: Is one of the few remaining heroes from the Demon war. Is exceptionally powerful in Ugly mode(Known as Body of Darkness).

Perhaps... hmm, here's an idea for my character -

Toral the Outcast:

The bastard son of an angel and the incubus who raped her long ago, Jarad has long stood on either side of the 'fence', as it were, as much through his own choice as through the fact that neither Heaven or Hell wanted anything to do with him, given his heritage.

His dual bloodlines however have granted him strange powers, a mixture of good and evil, and as the signs of a new war begin to show themselves on the mortal plane, he may well be approached by either side to help sway the balance in their favour.

He has long walked the mortal world, having been outcast from either Heaven or Hell, and so his usual appearance is of a handsome, blond-haired man, one eye a crystal blue, the other an almost fiery orange. Since he has spent so much time in the mortal realm, he has grown to like mankind, seeing them as kindred spirits to himself, with good and evil in their nature.

When he takes his other form, he grows to almost double his height, one white horn curling up from his left brow, and angels wings sprouting from his back - although they are black feathered. A smell of sulphur and honey seems to surround him closely at the same time.

Neither daemons or angels can sense his presence - his dual, neutral nature makes him invisible to their senses of good and evil. As such, he may well be taken for a mere human when first encountered...

Well, every war needs a wild card.

I would like to join if I can. I didn't really get much into the other one before it died and I the quality of my posts wasn't really anything to speak of, but I hope you will let me in anyway. I have an idea for a character.

Thandiran:
Long ago he was an angel, but somehow angered god and was thrown to the earth robbed of his wings, thereby making mortal, and his memories. But that was only in the sense of being killed cause he didn't age. Living through centuries, but having no idea how or why. Now that the war where good fight evil, is coming (or has come) he realise that his gift has something to do with either the angels or the devils, unaging as they are. He seeks his past and doesn't care for which of the sides to win...yet!

Guess you've all heard of this horn-playing archangel? ;=)

Gabriel's normal form is the standard big guy, long hair, halo, wings, blazing sword, yaddayadda. His mortal guise is that of a really old blind guy, with a talent for music.

Gabriel spends his downtime playing jazz trumpet in New Orleans, squashing the ocassional vampire, enjoying the mortal world, and waiting for the order to come for him to play his last gig. THE last gig. The final trump.

Gabriel is just waiting for the restrictions to be lifted, and the Big Guy to let him cut loose a mighty riff!

btw: This character and description are pending feedback from the lovely Lavagoddesss. Should she have any objections, qualifications, or suggestions, things may change.

The Killing Angel

I'm different, an angel allowed to take life because i take life in retribution. Heaven and hell both demand reciprocation, so I am the one sent when a terrible crime is commited. My original form is the usual wings, tall blah blah blah and my chosen weapons are daggers, of which i have an unlimited supply.

By day I stalk the streets looking for a decent pizza....

Wait a minute. People are sitting here saying Pizzas and jazz and New Orleans. Yet we are talking about past kind of stuff. So are we in a magical present, a magical future, or a magical past. Any is cool, but I need to know.

Yes, please give us a bit of background for the thread you intend to run, milady. I was under the impression it was in modern times, but that was just a guess. If you could give a bit more detail as to the expected environment, I would be happy to adjust my persona to suit.

I have to agree, though it is noteworthy that I have not yet participated in a magical future kinda thread yet...

Magical future, though spiffy, is a little strange. Magical past is just spiffy. Although, magical future definitely has it's upsides, it's got a lot of downsides too. I mean, if you are a person who works with mechanical stuff, and a mage more powerful than you walks by, your mechanical stuff doesn't work anymore! Same thing for mages. So a stronger mechanic would shut off a mage's stuff by just walking by!

Thats just one possibility Morgoth. Personally, I like the idea of 'cybermancy' - the combination of magic and technology. Casting a spell, trapping your opponent in a digital recording, only to be released when it is destroyed or played later, for example. Or enchanted bullets that can harm magical creatures. Or Clockwork Golems (a prime example of magic and mechanics working together). There's plenty of scope.

Well, I'm just saying. Your idea could also be included in mine. I mean, let's say that there are a special group of people. Very rare people who can tune magic and technology into one.

K. So I was thinking, this isn't set in stone. Well, with the apocolypse, all machines and such are sort of destroyed. The basic meaning is that you are left with what god gave ya. YOur hands and a trusty sword. Back in biblical times, you had what you deserved to keep. Or some guy, bigger and better, took it from ya. If you would like this to be more technological. Please gimme your ideas. It will be the first week of feb that I put the main post up. It would be in the future. Say 666 Past the returning of the dragon (a.k.a for all you non bible thumpers...the dragon was part of revelations, he came and conquered some of the poeple....so I'll get into more details later) so it is 666 A.A.D (after Apocolyptic Dragon)

OOC: I am switching to thsi, because, if nobody minds, I am going to start the story.

IC: A dark, bleeding hand ripped out of the ruins of Los Angeles and groped about. The ground began to rumble around the hand and some kind of spires began poking through the ground. The hand slowly turned into an arm, and then into two. The tips of two wings emerged next, and then a head. It was a handsome human, that looked as though he wouldn't hurt a fly, but the aura of hate and evil around him quickly disproved that. Then, the rest of him emerged, and he lay there, gasping in pain from numerable gashes and cuts all over his body. Then the spires turned into towers and pretty soon, a large castle had risen out of the ground. Mustering his remaining strength, the human shrieked and was enveloped in red light. After the light passed, there stood a demon that didn't even slightly resemble a human. 25 ft tall, muscles rippling with numerous cuts, his two huge mandibles twittering at his sides, needing human flesh. The demon staggered into the castle and the door slammed shut behind him as the demon lay himself down on a large, comfortable bed. In what had once been a swamp, and was now L.A., stood a great castle. The Tarasque had awoken!

Hey LAVAGODDESS, I'm all up for a little war of Good vs. Evil, but why limit yourself to one side. My character's name is HYGELAC and I am a human sorcerer who has created a talisman to entrap and dominate beings from other planes. This talisman and the spell it casts require a monumental amount of concentration to control or the spell reverses and the user is under the particular demons or angels control.
HYGELAC used to be a monk but was subverted by a fallen angel who had a problem with Lucifer's management style.
