I was wondering if anyone in here ever watches the Daily Show with Jon Stewart? That show has some of the funniest things on it, I love it. Of course I can never find other people who watch it.

Now that I dont get Comedy Central I can't watch it.

I miss that show.

I used to. Loved it.
But damn this college. We don't get comedy central in the dorms.

Oh man guys my heart goes out to you. I would be totally depressed if I couldn't watch it. They had one last week where Steven Cobert (sp?) was talking to some guy about Lynn Chaney's childrens book. Anyways this guy was a real racist and was talking about how it was pornography for kids. It was one of those ABC books where each letter stands for something and she had T stand for tolerance and had a list of all different kinds of holidays and the guy threw a fit. He was talking about how the Day of the Dead stemmed from Aztec culture and that Aztec culture was from the pit of hell. It was such a crock of shit that you just had to laugh. Ok, I'll stop typing long posts about different segments of the show.

I think the Day of the Dead does have roots in Aztec culture. I remember something like that when I did my speech on the that.

It probably did have roots in the Aztec culture it was just funny when the guy got all red faced and started ranting and raving about the pit of hell, he then had choice words about Kwanza (sp?), Mardi Gras, etc.

...and Martin Luther King, Jr. He called him a whoremonger, if I'm not mistaken.

Mr. and Mrs. Thrillhouse just LOVE The Daily Show, and Comedy Central in general.

I enjoy it,although I like the headlines section more than most of the rest of the show, except for the occasional Lewis Black commentary.

Thrill-yeah he did say Martin Luther King Jr. was a whoremonger, he also called that guy Lynn Chaney. I guess more people like it than I thought, I've never asked people on a message board so maybe it's just my town. I haven't seen Trigger Happy but it looked funny.

The best was saying that Cookie Monster was responsible for all child obesity.

how about Indecision 2000, they ran it before the election and had the best jokes throughout the whole time

Don't forget the one where the guy wanted the war because he could sell the Osama Bin Laden toilet paper for thousands of Canadian dollars. :D

I'm so glad I thought to ask you guys about the daily show. I totally forgot about the toilet paper guy and the cookie monster. One of my favorites was when the guy saw the snowman in his yard and for some reason was compelled to get his gun and shoot it. Then he shot himself in the leg on accident. And they said it had a penis for a mouth. And Steven (I think he did the interview) was telling Jon at the end about how the "fucker" was still in his leg.

And they have so many great segments.

Even Steven
At the Movies
The ProblemTakerAwayers
Dollars and Sense
We love Showbiz

I really miss this show.:(

Yeah, Even Steven and At The Movies are my favorites. That sucks you can't get it at your dorms.
