I never spent a night in jail, but the prospect scared the living shit out of me. They kept telling me that if my friends didn't get there with bail money I'd have to stay in jail until Mon, because I was arrested Friday night, and there would be no way to get out until Monday morning. It sucked. I just sat there the entire time on pins and needles- they make you sit in the back and won't let you talk to the girls, for some reason, like it's marked off boy/girl- and they take your shit and go through it, and you just have to sit there while they pull out rolling papers and everything, and you're just realize how bad you're fucked, and it's a horrible situation. Especially for me because I'm such a pansy ass anyway.
And then when my friends did get there, my boyfriend gave me this horrible lecture about what a bad person I was and how he was going to leave me in there, and I should thank Jamie because he was the one who convinced him to come and I WAS going to pay him that fucking money back. It just... goddamn it sucked so bad.

I have been to local, county, state and federal institutions many times. But I'm in law enforcement and have to. It's a growth industry in the United States. While I certainly don't agree with all the laws I am required to enforce and while I further don't agree with the current posture of much of the law enforcement in this country, I still consider my job important and necessary.
Sometimes good people, innocent of the crimes for which they are charged and convicted, are incarcerated and conversely, the guilty are free.

I'll be able to make a better life for myself in jail than I would being out on the streets sleeping on park benches and searching for food inside dumpsters and trash bins.

I fucking love Superjail. I love the warden and Alice. But I like to think that this pic is cannon, because Warden wanted Stingray so fucking bad in that ep- and he could have made a powerful alley in the warden if he'd just went with it instead of going all egomaniac and taking over. Now, I like to think this happens.
Stingray's got those sharp teeth, though...

Spent a night in county jail once. It was interesting. The strange thing is when the idea you can't just get up and leave sinks in, and I was there probably less then 24 hours.
I've heard ex-cons say its kind of like being in high school. You have to be around people you don't like and you can't leave.

I rented the jail in Scammon Bay once. It was nice and new. Never been puked in.
