I have 2 year old twins and was wondering if any of yall had twins? Mine are boy/girl and were 9 weeks early. I had the c section.

if you do:

How are they?

were they early?

late?

both healthy (i hope)

my son has cerebral palsy and just finally learning to walk.

Thanks

I have twin daughters

They are five. They are identical and were both in the same sack. They were six weeks early and my ex spent almost a full 2 months in the hospital in an attempt to keep her from going into labor too early. They are both very healthy, I was very lucky!!! They are the apples of my eye!!!

14 now, our youngest kids, boy and girl, six weeks prem then five weeks under plastic. Fine now, The boy is a wrestling champ - very fit.
Shynsexy, I imagine your boy is a lot of hard work. Look after yourself, that's important for them. Your little girl will be helping her brother. My two fight like lion cubs, but defend each other to the death.

Twin boys (identical), 2 1/2

6 weeks premature, 12 days in NICU after birth.

Happy, healthy and terrorizing the neighborhood

I missed the Thing1 and Thing2 stories while you were gone for awhile, Bob! Any new ones lately?

I have 2 year old twin boys (fraternal).
Born 3 weeks early. One was born natural and the other C-section. Ouch!!!
Happy and healthy.

Twins & Paranormal

Got twin 11 year-old boys plus a 13 y.o. boy.
C-section on both pregnancies. Twins identical, but one needed heart surgery for pulmonary stenosis (heart valve didn't open). Interestingly (to me, proud papa!) the one with the surgery has the most balanced and mature view of life.

They're like a bunch of wrangling monkeys! Love 'em to death.

Anybody had any paranormal/telepathic experiences with twins?
Early on, I saw a few incidents of telepathy--at least that's what I thought it was.

---For those of you bringing up boys, recommend two books, both excellent: "Wonder of Boys" and "Raising Cain."

Thanks hatara. And shynsexy, your good and young to have twins. We were both in late 30's when our arrived.

In fact, I know the day and time they were conceived. We were in Andalusia, at Easter, for the mad Holy Week fiestas. We already had three kids and one was still a baby - a few months old.

It was Good Friday and I went in to a Chemists to buy some condoms - they were still not too easy to get in Spain. I was just about to buy them when I noticed an old lady, all in black, staring at me and I asked for some cough syrop instead. 38 and still embarrassed. I was thinking - day of fasting and abstinence.

So that was it.

Even worse was that when the doctor has my wife under anaesthetic, he came out of theatre to ask me if I wanted her sterilised at the same time - since that was her wish - but that there was a good chance the babies wouldn't live. So I said "No" - when she came to and realised this she was livid.

I am blessed with almost three-year old fraternal twin girls.

I was induced at 39 weeks with pitocin because I showed no signs of going into labor - no effacement, no thining, no dialation, nothing!

I had them vaginally without an epidural because once labor began, I went from 2-10 in 45 minutes and there wasn't time for it.

I took them home from the hospital one day later and they've been extremely healthy ever since.

shynsexy, to answer your question in the deaf baby thread, my nephew is doing great. He is fine cognitively and excells at school. Unfortunately, he will probably never walk. He is 9 and has been in an electric wheel chair for many years now. He has limited use of his arms, but needs assistance for all daily activities, brushing his teeth, eating, getting dressed, school work, etc. He's a really neat kid and makes friends easily which is great. Plus, he's smart as a whip. :)

I'm glad your son is learning how to walk. You must be thrilled. Does he have any cognitive delays?

My older son is high-functioning autistic and has had many delays, so I am adept at navigating the system for services he needs. If you have any questions, just let me know.

Twin Boys

Mine are identical boys pushing 15......

They were about 5 weeks early and weren't expected to make it..

One has had a few problems and on life time medication but hasn't stopped him from doing anything...

Both have played alot of sports including pop warner football...

The only problem they have now is that they think they can kick my ass.....but when it comes right down to it they know who the Big Daddy Mac is.....

Shynsexy...

welcome to the world of twins..... you have a great time ahead of you and before you know it you will be telling them great stories to them about when they were younger...oh yea dont forget to get alot of photos...they will love them as they get older......
