Anyone have a Roomba?

I got one for Christmas. I thought it would be gimmicky and I would never use it but it actually works pretty well.

A friend has one.
She still has to use the ordinary vacuum.
All well and good that it senses furniture etc. and goes back to its dock by itself to recharge, but at the end of the day there are large sections of the floor that have been missed entirely!
She refers to hers as the Most Expensive Cat Toy Ever.

I have one. It works well if you don't have a lot of corners and things it can't get into. Better on hardwood than carpet. For me it works great.

Expensive. Battery doesn't last long. Never gets the whole floor clean.

In my experience...

My experience, too. If you leave it unplugged more than a few days, the battery doesn't recover.

I have discovered the ultimate thing to keep my house super clean. I hired a professional cleaning company.

I would love one! However, my propensity to fill every space I have in my home with furniture or cool decor would send the poor appliance into fits.

I'd have to put it on Prozac.

The amount of time for each cleaning continues to drop. The learning aspect of the software seems to be doing the job. It keeps filling the bin on each run. More so than I would like after a few runs.

What model is that.

I knew a guy who had one. He swore by it, but he was one of those guys that everything they purchase is amazing. So, I think he was full of shit.

I don't even know what that is. But after reading some of this thread I know it's some type of cleaning object.

So far so good. Not using it on carpets just the hardwood floors. It was used so I have no idea how old it is or how it was treated. Battery does the entire first floor. Life is good.

Cool. Im lookin at the 980 for the girl and she has all hardwood floors.

From what I've read on the intrawebz, if there's even a chance lifeforms in the household are not thoroughly housebroken, a roomba is a very bad idea.

It does miss some of the perimeter areas and it does not do a good job on the mat in front of the back door. Big deal. It is a time saver and so far I am glad I dropped the dough on it.
