Hello there!

I was wondering if there are some fellow Belgians out here? So far I've not met any Belgians. I know, we are a (very) small country and lit is an English site so the chances are not very high but still.

So if you are a fellow Belgian or live in Belgium I would like to hear from you! :)

Greets,

Sarah

I've been to Belgium. Not sure that's helpful though.

I've not been to Belgium yet, but have met a few, very nice Belgian people. I do plan to visit Europe in the Spring and will include historic and beautiful Brussels in my itinerary. Would you be kind enough to recommend your favorite places, that I might visit? John

Any link with Belgium is helpful so thanks for the reply :)
What city did you visit?

Haha you're welcome.

I went to Brugge last year on a football trip and when I was at school we went to Ypres.

Hi John!

Belgians are very nice people lol ;-) Although we are somewhat more reserved people, we are very friendly and open.

I don't know Brussels that well to be honest. I was born and raised in Antwerp so if you would like to visit Antwerp I can recommend you a lot of beautiful and historic buildings, intresting and beautiful places, museums, great restaurants, nice shops, ... Antwerp is not that far from Brussels ;)

Let me know if you're intrested!

It looked it but it was a day trip really, mostly saw pubs and the stadium! It's on my list for later in the year, probably May.

I would also definitely recommend visiting Antwerp ;-) I live there and I can honestly say it's a very beautiful and intresting city. It's not that far from Brugge.

If you're intrested I could recommend you a couple of intresting and beautiful places to visit there.

I know a guy from Antwerp, he's a good guy.

And any recommendations would be welcome! Thanks

Hello there!

Glad to read you like visiting Belgium.

I appreciate the effort and impressed by your language knowledge, but your message is written in German and not Dutch though :) Or maybe that was intentional and you also do speak Dutch? ;-)

Sarah

Oh wow, cool :) Nice to meet a fellow Belgian
Do you speak Dutch or French by any chance?

Unfortunately, I only speak English and a little Espanol.

Ok, just wondering since your mother is Belgian :) Maybe she learned you Dutch or French!

Belgium

Hi,
I am from Western Germany and Belgium is a nice Partner country.
Two years ago I visited Brussels for four days.
Our hotel was in downtown surrounded by many shops and bars. Wonderful city squares and amazing architecture, but also very dirty in this part of the city.
Fantastic the Atomium and also the royal palace.

Oh, Western Germany! What city if I may ask?
Brussels has amazing architecture, but unfortenately you're right: some parts of the city are very dirty indeed.
