Anyone else have the new FIOS TV hardware? Damn, what a mess

I got Verizon FIOS TV five years ago, switching from the criminally overpriced Comcast Xfinity. FIOS worked much better for a reasonable price. But then this year . . . ugh. It wasn't broke, but they "fixed" it anyway with new compact hardware, with awful results. I like the idea of ditching the awkward cable boxes with wires going all over my 1930 house, and doing everything through my wi-fi router with an Android-based system, but their tech department really dropped the ball. Glitches galore, clunky menu design, freezing up at least once a day. Search results show me nothing but lame amateur free Youtube crap half the time, instead of shows and movies from professional studios and channels that I'm PAYING Verizon for! Did they even test this shit before they rushed it out to market? I haven't seen a tech company blunder this bad since Windows ME (back when Microsoft had a monopoly on computers, shortly before Steve Jobs and Google shook up the industry.)

I have the criminally overpriced service. It also has some glitches. I expect all internet providers will have more severe glitches and failures that eventually drive away most of their customers. My previous provider was better until it fell behind in infrastructure maintenance, and that's probably what will happen to all of them.

We ditched FIOS TV a year ago. We kept their 1-gig internet service, then got on a contract with YouTubeTV for all network TV stations, and picked a few extra-cost Premium Ch. packages. ..Not world's better, but better AND cheaper.

Our main complaint is you have to scroll to channels rather than input ch. numbers. ..But you can organize the channel order so your favorite channels are at the top.
