Anyone else hate clowns besides me?

I don't hate clowns, themselves, but I hate clown dolls and figurines. That probably doesn't make much sense, but that's how it works. *shrugs* Down with clowns!!

i used to work with a broad who was phobic about clowns (whatever it's called... someone else can do the googling... i'm too lazy). personally, i don't have an issue with it, but i can totally see what apple's talkin' about with the figurines.

now... if ya wanna talk about somethin' freaky (not phobic, but freaky)... let's talk about mimes. wtf?!?!

My wife had bought several Annalee clowns when our kids were real young. I used to turn them around when I went into the kids' room. We still have them, packed away in the attic. I know exactly where they are and they're gonna stay there.

Dude, I don't blame you a bit. *shudders*

Coulrophobia

My seven-year-old is afraid of clowns. That might be because Chuckie on Rugrats is also afraid of them. Or not.

Of course the worst thing is barely seeing a clown face in a dark room. Kind of like that scene in Poltergeist.

That's one clown that freaks me the fuck out. It's probably why I hate clown dolls and figurines, come to think of it. You know what really freaks me out, though? Dummies. I have a total phobia of dummies.

Joker never bugged me the way clowns do. He admits what he is- a psycho, and he's okay with that.

No, clowns though hide behind paint, thier true intentions masked behind a crowd drawing, painted smile. Not my kind of entertainment.

Am I ever! Clowns scare the bejeebus outta me. Ever seen the Simpsons episode where Homer makes Bart a new bed? That's me. "Can't sleep...clowns will eat me..."

Scaly, Annalee dolls scare me, too. They don't even have to be clowns - they're all just scary. My mom used to have some, and she took us to the museum up in NH once. I'm still scarred.

I don't like the circus because there are clowns there. Clowns are the substance of my nightmares. I avoid them at all costs.

I totally agree with both statements.

My wife has told me there are a lot of people that don't like clowns; I didn't realize just how many.

Lots of people dislike clowns.

Though the most disturbing clown I've seen lately has got to be the BDSM Dom clown that someone posted about in the BDSM cafe.
I'm all for whips, chains, dominance, submission and sadomasochism.
But clowns? *shudders* No way.

YES!! I hate them. I read "It" when I was 19 and it scared the hell out of me. I haven't liked clowns and you won't get me walking near a storm drain for nothing to this day. *Shudders in fear*

i am not usually scared of clowns, i just dislike them because they are stupid and because their make up makes my face itch just by seeing it.

an ex of mine used to work as a clown though long before we were together, and he could do very scary clown grins, and those freaked me out. and he did them on purpose just to scare me.

Dummies. That's interesting. Anything particular about them bothers you?

They're only possibly the most frightening non-living thing in existance!!! Seriously, I think it's a deep-seated fear from childhood. I watched a lot of scary movies where dummies would become possessed by evil spirits and kill people or you'd find out, at the end of the movie, that the dummy was really alive the whole time. I know they can't actually come to life . . . but they still scare me.

They're creepy.

Beyond creepy.

They're . . . evil.

Well....i suppose this is all just simple hints for me to leave.....well point taken...i know when I'm not wanted *runs home crying*
