Anybody noticed missing words in their stories after posting?

I published a story called The Bet. Reading through it this morning, I noticed a missing "a" in a sentence. I figured I'd better correct the submission copy just in case I used it elsewhere, but unexpectedly:

Submission copy: no doubt a very large, almost naked cock

Published story: no doubt very large, almost naked cock

Did anybody else notice missing words when published?

I can’t say that I have ever noticed this. Then I would probably have ascribed it to me screwing up somewhere along the way.

Same. I miss words when typing all the time, and just assume any errors in publishing are mine.

Only time I noticed a glitch was when a story was chopped in half on publication and ended rather abruptly.

Rather more noticeable than a missing 'a'.

I have to make Word read back my work as I go, I can't believe that important words are missing, but reading by eye I rarely notice that they're missing. Since July of this year, every story I publish has been edited aurally as well as visually, and I'll still miss stuff.

Yeah, all the time. As careful and thorough as I try to be, the moment of discovery usually comes just after the publication.

I attribute it to gremlins...

I make mistakes too, and they get published. But in this case, the submission copy is correct and the published story isn't. It's minor, but still...I'm wondering if I've m missed other errors?

Maybe Laurel's becoming Asian and eliminating articles. See any missing "an"s or "the"s?

No problems noticed here. Latest upload mentioned the wrong city in a scene, but that was all me, and it meant zero difference to the story unless you were tracking the timeline hour by hour. 😜

LOL. I know it is my sloppy editing. I have gone back to re-read my older stories and find dumbass mistakes often.

My older stories, I laugh. Some of my paragraphs are full pages, and don't, get, me, started, on, commas... My absolute nemesis. :)
