I despise Valentines Day. It's the one day that makes me feel completely alone and miserable. Well, that and my birthday.

Og's too busy writing stories and checking his scores to go out and get ciggies for me.

No one ever sends me a Valentine, not even as a joke. They don't even offer me a cigarette.

These modern cigarettes haven't got no puff in them anymore. No one has Senior Service or Capstan Full Strength or those funny French ones Gaul-Oyses. They all have fancy filter tips and low tar.

I want TAR! I want Flavour! or even Flavor! Give me a Camel, a Marlboro, a Man's smoke not these fancy lady-like things tasting like steam. How can anyone get a good smoker's hacking cough on mild ciggies. They charge more for these steam puffers than for good old-fashioned Navy Cut.

All I want for Valentine's Day is a carton of strong cigarettes and a drunken sailor with a strong stomach (and a non-functioning nose) and I'll be in bliss.

But as usual, I'll be out bumming ciggies and no one will care.

Last Vday was a great one for me.

This one i dont know- im not sure when my love life walked out the door and decided not to come back, but im hoping it finds it's way to the straw mat in the corner of my mind before vday.

Ain't had those since the US Base closed down. When was that? It was soon after the Berlin Airlift. I went to Berlin with the USAAF. They threw me out after a sack of coal. It was lumpy to land on.

I had to bum a ride back with the RAF. They said that was better than causing an international incident. I kept bumming fags off the Russkies. They had proper ciggies with taste, something like tractor fuel and sawdust.

Now I can go out on the town and sell me bum just for the fun of the game.
