Any way to tell when someone leaves an anonymous comment?

I love reading the new comments on my stories. As an author we can see when a logged in reader leaves a comment, but what about anonymous comments? I just reread the comments on one of my stories and realized I never saw the last 5 before. They were all anonymous.

I have too many stories and too many comments to go through them and monitor them.

Is there anyway to see when an anonymous comment is left?

Ahhh. Ok I see. Weird, I've been missing comments a d I look at this every day or do. I know it's me, but I don't know how I miss them.

I make that page my bookmark, my initial entry each morning into Literotica. Keeps me up to date, so to speak. Good luck.

I've had it "Back Insert" comments before, not necessarily just Anonymous ones. Like Tarnished I check it pretty much everyday. A couple of times I've pulled my numbers on a Saturday and saw that the numbers of my comments had changed on a story. I go back and yup there it is on my Latest Activity page. I don't think I could miss it. I think sometimes because the "Server" or whatever sits on the comments, they sometimes get posted to the time that they actually got submitted and it pops up on the second page, so I "miss" it/them.

It could be I just miss it and it's all on me, but I don't think so.

Most of them are just avoiding connection with an adult website, or just plain don't feel like signing up. Outside of LW, 90% of anonymous comments are positive. Inside LW there are probably as many people with accounts leaving scathing reviews as are on the rest of the site doing it anonymously. Whether someone has an account or not has nothing to do with it. Pricks are pricks.

Besides, we have — and pretty much have always had — the ability to universally shut down anonymous comments on our stories. Complaining about something you have the unrestricted power to prevent at any given moment doesn't make a hell of a lot of sense. All you have to do is click a radio button and a save button. Problem solved.

You just have to sacrifice the overwhelming majority of comments that are positive as a consequence.

This could be due to the delay in posting comments pending review of them. When you submit a comment on a story, you get a message that says something to the effect that 'your comment is pending review.' The posting is not immediately put up for public view as soon as you click submit. It may be there a day or more depending on the number of comments submitted and probably the work load of whomever is reviewing those. More than likely this is why you you think you have missed them - they were still pending the last time you checked.
