OK, I didn't discover my bisexual side until I was in my late 30's, and my very first significant experience with another woman involved each of us going down on the other after our husbands had made love to us (cum in us, actually). Spitting makes the aftertaste last longer. That and in Western terms it's a symbolic rejection of the act or even the person.

Well, i have gagged and thrown up a bit after swallowing.

And I don't really spit so much these days as let it dribble out of my mouth quickly.
