Why does it seem that this board is always so quiet? In fact I've noticed that most GLBT boards seem to be like this? Any ideas why? What can I do to get everyone talking? I know there is a lot to be said.

Maybe its just that this forum is so new that people are still adjusting. All i know is that in the past 10 months, since I started trying to figure out things, I've been searching for an online community to talk to people who are going through what I am. It just seems like all the glbt forums I come across have very low participation rates. Any one else see this?
 
I think that it takes a little time for a new forum do get going good. People don't know each other all that well, and are reticent to open up until they get better acquainted.

It's mid-summer too, when many people spend less time indoors and online.

Give it a little time, and don't be afraid to speak up yourself!
 
I was sitting here wondering why people arent talking when I realized I wasnt talking either. Im usually the shy and quiet type so this is my attempt to step up and start talking and maybe meet some new people.
 
Sometimes it kinda sucks being shy. You wanna get out there and be noticed, but it's the one thing you fear. At least, that's how it is with me.

Im the same way. I really want to get to know people. I want to make more friends. Its just scary. Yes, i know most people dont bite, atleast not in a mean way.
