Where is this "free" money coming from?
My grandpa used to tell me that 'money doesn't grow on trees." I am not sure if that is true or not. But if it doesn't grow on trees then where is it coming from?
Will they borrow it from China? See any irony there?
Will they just print it? Isn't that like slicing a pie into more pieces thinking that there is then more pie? (AKA = INFLATION)
Will they just take it from people like my husband and I that do not qualify for the "free" hand out? (AKA = TAX... in this case we could call it the Robin Hood tax.)
Since the government is an abstract organization that has zero wealth but rather trillions of dollars of debt the "money" must come from somewhere.
So, is it all of the above or, does it grow on trees?

The price of government altruism has a direct correlation to human greed, no exceptions. Absolute power and all that.
No matter how hard any state has tried to get rid of such things, and tried they have. The authority required for that pursuit always manages to enrich itself and become exactly what it set out to destroy.....arguably with some pretty horrifying results.
If the checks were getting cut on a partisan basis, that shoe would fit.
But they aren't so it doesn't.
