It appears to be growing even replacing the bar scene altogether these days. What is the success rate for many of you who have dated beginning online?

I don't know about marriages, but there have been some that have hooked up and been together for awhile. Usually when that happens they are not on here much anymore!

I'm on AO-Hell and over the last few years I've met a whole bunch of people from there. Some are business related but I don't think that's what you had in mind when you asked.

I met a girl who was a great friend for a year and a half but there was nothing sexual about our relationship. We talked about sex a lot but it never went farther though it could have. A few years ago I met a girl who at one point was a fuck buddy and then we were dating for a while but I haven't spoken to her in about 2 years.

There are quite a few of us that are in LDR's. (long distance relationships) with ppl we met here. They are at different stages but I think that alot of them are strong enough that they will last for a very long time if not forever.

oh yes! I have most definitely MET someone and we have talked seriously about "the 'M word'" as you put it. The thing is, it does not give either of US the willies. If you find the person you were really meant to be with, then marriage will not be such a dreaded thing!

There is someone, that I met on here. It is a budding long distance relationship. It may go further than that, but for now, I am enjoying it for what it is.

While I've met people from here, none were really romantic as all lived a good distance away and I don't do the LDR thing. However, I did meet my S/O at another site, specifically for dating. He's local, so the internet was just a means for initial contact - all of our relationship from those first 3 or 4 emails have been in real life.

So far, all is going well, though marriage hasn't been mentioned at this time.
