any free messaging programs out there

i have a dial up connection here at the house and spend a lot of time on line. i have a service at the store that works when you have the call forwarding function on your phone. people call and get a message as though they had called a voice mail and i hear their message in real time.

any thing like that that works without having to pay the phone company any more money?

Callwave is great. All you have to do is pay the dollar a month charge for call forwarding on your phone bill,but call wave itself is free.

I used it with a dial up for over a year with no problems at all.

I don't know....Ppl just get a busy signal when they call me....but we have another line here so it's not a problem....
