Any cancer survivors here?

Has anyone here had cancer and is currently in remission or has completely eliminated the cancer from their bodies?

Is it true that 80% of ALL people will develop some form of cancer within their lifetime?

How many of them will die from the disease?

If a cancer goes into remission, how often does it resurface years later?

Can a malignant growth be removed before it metastases to other areas of your body?

Someone said that cancer cannot be completely gotten rid of, but only "managed" for 5-10 years (with deceptively overpriced and toxic treatments) before it inevitably kills you.

How come so many chemotherapy patients die from pneumonia?

Is it true that the multi-trillion-dollar cancer industry and medical/pharmaceutical complex is not interested in curing the disease because of the astronomical profits they are making by selling expensive treatments?

Is it true that a cure for all cancers is actively being suppressed by the government and medical establishment solely for corporate special interest and financial purposes? Profiting off of human misery is about as low as anyone can possibly stoop. What has the world come to?

No I don't have cancer, but given the astronomically high cancer rates (almost 80%) more likely than not I will have to deal with it at some point in my life. As with 4 out of every 5 people throughout the global human populace.

There's still too much unknown about cancer, that I doubt it'll ever be cured. I've never had it, but have a lot of family members who have had cancer. I think a lot of cancers are genetic myself. Breast cancer, for example....you don't get it by smoking or any other "environmental" cause. It kind of tends to be a crapshoot. Both my grandma & her sister had it, but none of the other women in our family have it. But my best friend had her grandmother, cousin, & two sisters all have it.

When you have chemotherapy, you're basically killing ALL your immune cells, both good & bad, in an effort to kill the cancer cells. So even someone with the sniffles can be pretty devestating to your body.

As for the rest of your twaddle, you really, REALLY need a new hobby, other than trolling the internet for every crackpot conspiracy theory you can find. I mean REALLY get a new hobby. Please.

80%?

Bullshit, and anyone who buys into that is a moron.

More than half of EVERYONE on Earth will develop some form of cancer within their lifetime.

It never used to be this way, but that was long before our environment was filled with toxic chemicals, pollution, and carcinogens.

Corporate profits and stock value are more important than human life and the betterment of mankind.

Again, please, please get a hobby that doesn't involve crackpot theories of the future! No one knows what the future brings. You don't know 100% that there isn't some scientist, who has just figured out how to cure cancer tonight. Or next year, or 5 years from now. Its uncertain & no one can say that anything "WILL" happen. For all of our sakes, please get a real life.

A working cure for cancer has been suppressed by the government and medical establishment since the early 20th century.

There are many reasons why the medical establishment wants to prevent cancer from being cured. Most of them are financial and business-related.

*Maintained profits of the medical/pharmaceutical establishment
*The continued existence and profits of the cancer industry depends on the continuity of the disease
*Drug companies make billions of dollars from selling cancer drugs
*Hundreds of billions of dollars reside in treating cancer and not curing it
*All cancer treatment assets would instantly be rendered useless and all oncologists would be out of a job
*Billions of dollars invested in medical and pharmaceutical companies would be lost and the stock market would plummet
*The multi-trillion dollar cancer industry would cease to exist
*The government uses cancer as a tool for eugenics and population control

These are the reasons why cancer will NEVER be cured, not even 1,000 years from now!

Which is it Mike, 80% or more than half? What the fuck is "more than half" anyway, 50.000027362%?

Also, says who? Cite something.

Let's say 60-70% of the entire global human populace develops cancer. Especially those in industrialized countries because of their constant and daily exposure to pollutants and carcinogenic chemicals.

Cancer is far less prevalent in the third-world.

Such a careless statement.

Depending on the region you have a much greater chance of dying from starvation before 3, malaria, measles, aids etc before you turn 8 and war before 13 than developing cancer.

I'd much rather be committing genocide at 12 years old than dying of cancer.
