I'm from the Valley, but I go to university in Ontario.

And will you be staying in Ontario for the whole summer? won't you miss the beach?

Yeah, I'll be in Ontario all summer. I'm in a co-op program, so we alternate four-month school terms with four-month work terms, and it goes year-round. I'm currently on a work term... I only get back to NS about three times a year.

On the bright side, one of my best friends up here has a cottage on Lake Huron where we go to relax and windsurf.

Didn't know it was safe to dip in Lake Huron

But I'm more of a lake person myself. I can definetly understand the attraction.

Sorry to hear you don't get to go home often though.

I actually get to go off on a corporate retreat tomorrow and Friday, too... I guess it's a reward for having to live in smelly grey Toronto... so we get to spend two days at a nice resort a few hours north of here.

Well arent you the lucky one then... A boss that splurges on his employees like that.

Yeah really, I have to work harder so my boss can go off to retreats

It's not just me. A whole pile of employees are going. The VP is giving an address. And I'll finally learn proper canoeing technique

But yeah, the oil business certainly takes care of their own. Even the co-op students.
