I am in the midst of a LW submission (The Theater Room) and have come to the point where hubby and wife talk after the mistake of wife stepping out.
I would like to make the story line one where the wife's daliance is really a mistake, driven by passion, without a pre-curser on her part, but probably a design on the part of the guy. I don't want her into a slut, yet, although that may come (depends on how it turns out). I am having difficulty in getting the theme right for the story line to continue down this path.
I would also like the hubby to be upset, but with difficulty, learns to accept the mistake, but in the midst of his trying to accept it, he has a mistake, or at least the golden opportunity for one.
I am having some difficulty in putting into words the emotions of the hubby, the emotions of the wife, and getting them through the initial blow up, and start to reconciliation.
If anybody has a story out there where you have done this, for some guidance, not copy, or if there are some ideas, it would be appreciated. Never having been in the situation personally, I really don't know the emotions, although I would tend to think i would be angry, but then reasonable.
