Anxious author!

Hi - can anyone advise me?
I have submitted 3 chapters of a story line called 'The Norseman' - and they have been accepted pretty swiftly. The next 2 were initially refused due to some dodgy punctuation (it is a couple of years since I last took an English class...) but I have made the requested changes and keep checking to see their status.
The chapters remain 'pending', and have 7-8 views listed and I keep thing "Are they so bad that someone needs to read them that many times to decide if they are okay to publish?" It feels like I have been waiting forever - and it is probably about 10-14 days.
Has this happened to anyone else?
I am a novice at this game and I dont' want to get disheartened...
Any advice gratefully received!

Can take that long or longer, particularly during a competition period (How To) where the submitted competition stories receive priority attention. Views can be up to a 12 or more. Important not to hit the 'pending' tag as it boots your story to the bottom of the list. Hope that helps.

yep, don't worry, it can take a looooooong while sometimes, and as Neon said, there is a competition on right now, and those entries get prioritised.

We all worry about how long a story is taking to be accepted at one time or another.

American Baby 2,3, and 4 are still languishing (It's been a few days now) with no views. Don't worry Clara, they'll eventually either go up or get sent back with a reason as to why.

lol... I tried that.. and then realized that in skimming through my favorites list, I was hitting that one all the damn time, so I just gave in... I check it without thinking most of the time.

I didn't want to give the trolls the satisfaction of knowing I was watching my scores fall, so I stopped checking as often. I chew gum instead.
